About this assignment

We are looking for reliable dog care and house awareness. Dog care requires only 3 interactions per day. 2 feedings with short walks after eating, and 1 outing to the yard before bedtime. Timing for feeding and bedtime is very flexible. We ask that you leave close to the way you found it.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs are truly pretty easy. They get fed & walked twice a day, morning and evening, no particular time. 2 short walks after meals, and a before bedtime pee outing. Please bring in the mail. We have a couple of plants that could use watering, pending on weather.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a quiet, family community. We are newly empty nesters and have re-found the love of travel. We have 2 pound pups (mid size) that are easy, enjoyable, low maintenance dogs (I realize my bias). They're mature and know the feeding & walking routines but are not ridgged on timing. Our home is centrally located between LA and San Diego. The beach is about 3 miles away, and there are multiple hiking trails within walking distance. Our downtown San Clemente has charming shops and unique restaurants. Lyft, Uber, UberEats are very accessible. We do our best to have our home clean and comfortable for you, as we would treat a friend or family.

Our home is around 2300 sq ft. 2 levels, quiet area, large backyard with dining table, lounge area, gas fire pit table, hot tub, BBQ grill, garden boxes, fruit trees, shade or sun options. No smoking, please. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom. We’re in walking distance of hiking and biking trails. Short drive (5-10 min) to beaches, pier, Dana Point Harbor, downtowns, restaurants... This is non-smoking residence.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our 2 dogs are midsized (45-55lbs). They are well behaved. They don't pull on a leash, they don't run away, they don't (are not allowed) to get on the furniture, they don't beg or expect food.
