Sitter wanted for two poodles in the Irish Countryside, March 9 - April 21

About this assignment

We are looking for someone who will care for our dogs with kindness. One dog is older and needs daily medicine. A single person or couple is ideal. We would like a sitter who is generous and kind, and who can fully commit to a longer stay.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

You will be responsible for the dogs, with one walk per day. Well, unless it's lashing rain, then good luck getting them out of the house. We also put out feed for wild birds.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a charming cottage with lots of light in the countryside. We keep the land organic and mostly wild, so there is a good variety of birds, rabbits, and the occasional fox. The house is cozy, and is close to a lot of good walks.

The house is very quiet, and would be great for someone who wants an environment to write or paint. There is a small garden house set up for all that.

We are close to the towns of Naas, Newbridge, and Kildare and about 33k from Dublin.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You need to be able to drive. We are off a busy road that is not walkable, and dangerous on a bike. The nearest shop is 5k away. If you have a valid drivers license, we can arrange things so you can use our car.

This is a country cottage and has some quirks, such as worn floors. We don't have a dishwasher or clothes dryer either. We do have good, fast wifi. And we have an incredible, deep, clawfoot bathtub.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: A very friendly dog maybe. In this case the animals would need to meet beforehand.
