Take out trash/recycling on scheduled days.
Picking up the mail.
Communicating on a regular basis.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a wonderful picturesque town just outside of Montreal. Hudson is bilingual and known for its vibrant community, cultural events, local theatre and natural beauty. The town's unique blend of French and English influences reflects the region's complex history and strong sense of community. All businesses are family owned and operated. The village is located on the side of the Outaouais River and residents enjoy access to municipal parks, local beaches and walking trails within the town. There are three golf courses in the vicinity. Lots of cross country skiing within walking distance and downhill skiing within a short driving distance. Plenty of hiking trails and a bird sanctuary within 15 minute walk from our home. If you're interested in music, there's an musical venue in town just about every night.

The house dates back to 1930 and has been renovated to a modern farmhouse style. Our house is on the edge of the town core about 1 km from the centre of the town. The home outdoor essential lighting is automated, with excellent Internet connectivity and a central alarm system. The enclosed office overlooks the cedar trees, offering a workspace immersed in a natural setting. There is an automatic backup generator in the case of power outages. We have a list of great friends, neighbours and relatives who are always available to help if need be.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Public buses are available but very limited timetables. During the week, two early morning trains run to Montreal. From Montreal, one departs mid-afternoon and another around 5 PM. Taxis are available from a nearby town 10 kms away .Uber's are a viable option for longer trips. Anyone applying for short sits should consider having a car. For longer sits, sitters will definitely need a vehicle. All local businesses are family owned. There are no chain franchises locally. Tim Horton, Subway and A&W are the close to highway about 4 kms away. Cell coverage is quite good but depending on the carrier, it can be limited to 3G.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: To be evaluated and terminated.
