One or two persons who are reliable, love animals, will treat our home and our beloved cat as they would their own, and are non-smokers.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have one terrific cat, Shantay, who will need feeding, cuddles and litter cleaning. She is on one medication that is very easy to administer. Other duties would include shoveling the sidewalk and paths, watering our indoor plants once a week, and bringing in the mail.

What are the good features of the property and location

We have a beautiful updated house in the central Southwest community of Lakeview, a short walk to North Glenmore park. You will have full use of our modern, well equipped kitchen, which includes dishwasher, stove, microwave and other conveniences. Also included are internet, WiFi, cable and streaming TV, washer and dryer.

We are within easy walking or driving distance to shopping, parks, buses and other amenities.

Calgary is a vibrant and growing city with views of and 90 minutes' drive to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and world-renowned Banff National Park, which is a mecca for Alpine and Nordic skiing, ice climbing, snow shoeing, skating on frozen lakes, soaking in steamy open-air hot springs, mountain biking (yes, even in winter), or just hanging out in one of the beautiful hotels and marveling at the numerous glaciers and majestic mountains.

Weather in Calgary can be somewhat unpredictable due to the proximity to the mountains, but is generally dry and clear, usually sunny and often surprisingly mild due to our frequent Chinook winds.
