Expectationally wonderful
In one word: expectational wonderful! Oke these are two words, but truly the best sit I have ever done. First of all schattebout Stanley, Stan is such an adorable little guy. He loves attention and snuggle at the end of the day with you on the couch. Stand the Man is really chill and relaxed. During the night he is really quiet and just waits till you wake up. If you call him he comes walking down the stairs to great you making biscuits on you and purring! Also he likes to be brushed walk with you int he pretty streets of Skopelos. Stan really made my stay full of enjoyment. He also has buddies on the street who are just so lovely! Lisa is wonderful too. She was super helpful coming to Skopelos. She pre-booked the bus for me from Athens and guided me well. Her welcome-guide was top notch and really clear. We had daily contact via the app which felt very good to update each other. Also her neighbour Anne was there to help me out and a wonderful person. We hiked together and ad daily contact. Lisa's house was also supernice and cute. It had everything you need to have a comfortable stay. With a breathtaking view over Skopelos town. Skopelos itself is so, so pretty. I really fell in love with this little island and its people. Thank you Lisa and Stan! Hope to see in the future again!

An absolute joy
It was an absolute joy to look after Stan – he's such a cuddler! We hit it off right away even though he had to endure eardrops for a week. Heather, Lisa's friend, picked me up from the ferry and showed me around the house and Skopelos. Throughout the sit, I joined her and her volunteer for various activities, which was really fun. Communication with Lisa was excellent through WhatsApp, and she was very helpful when I was planning the trip. She also provided a thorough welcome guide, so everything went smoothly! Skopelos is a beautiful town with friendly people. Lisa's place is very cozy, with a lovely view over the town and Stan is such a sweetheart. I highly recommend this sit!

I had an amazing time
I had an amazing time house and pet sitting for Lisa on the beautiful island of Skopelos. Lisa’s home was cozy and well-organized, and she made sure I felt welcome and prepared for the sit. Lisa is absolutely amazing, always ready to answer any questions and clarify any doubts. It was a pleasure sharing my memories with Stanley with her. Skopelos itself was an incredible place to experience, even in the quieter winter months. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning nature, and kind locals made my time there unforgettable. Stanley was an absolute joy to care for —affectionate, very independent and such a lovely sleepyhead companion during my stay. I already miss his adorable meows and the way he’d jump on my lap for cuddles before sweetly dozing off. Whether we were relaxing indoors or I was watching him enjoy the outdoors, it was such a pleasure spending time with him. I’m so grateful to have had the chance to meet Lisa and care for Stanley. I highly recommend this sit !

This is a lovely housesit
This is a lovely housesit. Stanley is great - independent, but still loves to cuddle up to you. At the beginning I thought he was always begging for food when he obviously wanted something... I soon realised that he either just wanted you to sit down so he could hop up next to you or maybe a cuddle was a good substitute for food! He is very friendly. At times, I thought someone was walking around the house, but it was just Stanley on the stairs! I didn't get to meet Lisa, because she was already in the UK. but she was very kind and helpful with giving advice on getting to Skopelos, what dto do on the island etc. Even after the sit, her advice was greatly appreciated in getting to Athens. The house is lovely and really comfortable. It is remarkably quiet. The island is lovely, but public transport was limited when I was there (time of year), so it might be best to hire a car for a day or two. At this time of year the ferries to the island can change schedule a lot. There is usually one reliable ferry a day, but have a plan b for travelling at this time of year. The car ferry was the most reliable, but the flying dolphin let me down twice. I guess during busier times schedules are better and more reliable

I had the most incredible time in Skopelos
I had the most incredible time in Skopelos with the handsomest boy Stanley! He enjoys his freedom and independence, but to my absolute delight he would regularly hop inside through his cat flap to cuddle or hang out with me. Stan is affectionate and sometimes playful, and it was always a genuine pleasure to spend time with him. I’ll miss his chirpy little meows and the sound of him bounding down the stairs to come see me. Lisa is lovely, and always very responsive and helpful with any questions. She’s a kind, thoughtful and genuine person. Her place is so charming and homey, with everything you’d need to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. Skopelos took some planning for me to get to, but it was very much worth it! The island is full of incredible beaches with the clearest most sparkling water, and gorgeous green pine trees everywhere. There were many tourists around at first but it never felt crowded or overly busy, and the town itself is so pretty and picturesque. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the pleasure of staying with Stanley at Lisa’s place in Skopelos, and I would absolutely recommend this sit!

Lisa and Stanley are an absolute dream to sit for
Lisa and Stanley are an absolute dream to sit for. Lisa has lived in Skopelos many years so is very helpful and knows everything you might need to ask her (if it's not already covered in the very comprehensive welcome guide). Darling Stanley is an adorable hunk who is both very independent, going about his day however he wishes and regularly joining for cuddles. He's very low maintenance and has a great personality, honestly he's a joy to be around. Lisa's house is lovely - close to everything but tucked away on a quiet street so there's no noise. Being high up on the hill there's a wonderful breeze that blows through on those hot summer days and the balcony has a lovely view over town. Sits don't come much better than this to be honest, it was a wonderful experience and I didn't want to leave!

Magical
How to accurately describe a month-long sit on the beautiful island of Skopelos for Lisa and her tuxedoed gent, Stanley? Of course, one month on a Greek island is going to be magical. Of course, the view is even more spectacular in person. Of course, the food is going to be out of this universe, the local swim spots even better, the locals cheeky and friendly, and the galaktoboureko from the heavens. This all goes without saying. Well, almost. But what made this sit particularly wonderful, was how willing and passionate Lisa was to help and share information about her home on Skopelos. So genuine and generous, sending updates on Stanny or the garden often happily veered into chit-chats—we feel we have made a friend :) Even before the sit, she had organised an extremely thorough welcome guide conveying all the essentials in how to properly care for her home, and her black-and-white beaux. On arrival, she had a friend meet us at the port and kindly show us up to the house, as there are apparently no formal addresses in the area. From here, we got to spoil and revel in four weeks with Greece's biggest, squeakiest, doe-eyed boy—Stan. This, of course, was the next wonderful thing about the sit. Stanley is a gentle soul. In saying this, we'll miss hearing him thud down the steps once he's realised we're up. We'll also miss a particular curtain game he loves (don't let his usual leisurely attitude fool you—he is f.a.s.t). He is free to roam but checks in frequently. When he did, he'd follow us around the house (toilet not excluded), and answer all Lou's questions with more squeaks. Mostly requesting more bikkies. We would sit for Lisa and Stanley again in a heartbeat. Thank you both for letting us into your world!

This sit ranks easily among my favourites
I’ve had some fantastic sits and this one ranks easily among my favourites. Lisa is a friendly and very considerate host. Knowing that I would be arriving on a Sunday when there are no shops open, she made sure there were plenty of staples in the house to tide me over including some lovely local fresh produce. She left very clear, detailed written instructions, which is the key to a smooth sit for all parties, and was always available for any queries I had. She also set me up with a couple of her local friends to settle me in in her absence and give me some social connections. Now for the feline prince at the centre of it all: Stanley. What a cute, soft, cuddly big boy! He took to me in no time and we shared many winter cuddles. He was no trouble at all to take care of and I really enjoyed his company. Lisa’s house is gorgeous. It’s clean and light-filled and you can tell it’s been decorated and maintained with care. The views over Skopelos are lovely and the walk down to the port takes only five minutes (perhaps allow an extra minute or two for the walk back up 😉). The stepped streets of Skopelos are an explorer’s delight. I’d highly recommend this sit. 😻

I had such a lovely time
I had such a lovely time at Lisa’s place. Her home is beautiful and comfortable, the views of the town of Skópelos are gorgeous, and it was fun to get lost in the winding streets. But my favourite part of the sit was getting to spend time with Stanley. He’s such a sweet cat, the perfect balance of independent and cuddly. He can go in and out as he pleases thanks to a micro-chip operated cat flap, and if you are on the couch, he will likely want to be on top of you. Communication with Lisa was easy-breezy throughout, and I had all the information I needed to complete the sit, including contacts for people in town. 100% would go back in a heartbeat!

What an awesome sit
What an awesome sit! We had such an amazing time exploring this island! Beautiful scenic beaches and plenty of beautiful hikes to enjoy. It’s an experience just getting there, but quite worth the trip. Lisa is an excellent communicator and she was very quick to reply to any of our questions. She has a beautiful home, with everything you need with a beautiful balcony view of the town of Skopelos. The best part is her adorable cat Stanley, who we much enjoyed taking care of. He is a very friendly cat with a special personality. He was low maintenance but love to play and cuddle. We miss him already! Lisa also put us in contact with her friend Heather and we got to explore some trails and even help her maintain some of them. We met some amazing people and feel quite blessed to have had this opportunity. We highly recommend this sit! Thank you again Lisa, we hope to be back.
