Housesitting in the mountains of Austria

About this assignment

We love to travel and are therefore looking for one reliable person to take care of our house and garden. We are travelling the whole spring between middle fo March till June. So inbetween this time you can choose your time to stay in the house.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The house sitter should look after the house and enjoy taking care of the garden. This includes mowing the lawn, watering, and a little maintenance of the raised bed. There are no animals to care for. However, there are many young fruit trees that need water during hot weather. (about 15 trees needs water in spring.)

What are the good features of the property and location

The house was built in the 1970s and still has some small renovation work to be done. It is located in a sunny position with a beautiful view over the valley. There are no public transport connections nearby, so a driving license or your own car would be ideal. A busstation to the small town is possibele to reach, but about 3,5 km to walk or go by bike.
There are many hiking and mountain tours in the region, and lakes are also nearby.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The town of Wolfsberg is about 15 minutes away (by car, 45 min to walk and take bus). There is no bus connection in front of the house. The access road is a paved mountain road that is not very steep.

Can I bring my own pets?
