A peaceful apartment with indoor plants and a cat in Riga, Latvia

About this assignment

Looking for sitter/s who love cats and plants and are interested in exploring Latvia. :) Ideally, someone who has experience with cats and understands the basics of plant care. Someone with good communication skills and who will be happy to send updates.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

- Feeding and providing fresh water to my cat Mimi, cleaning her litterbox, spending some time with her, letting her outside and inside
- Taking care of my indoor plant collection of approximately 40 plants (mostly watering)
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment

A plant and cat care guide will be provided. :)

What are the good features of the property and location

My apartment is located in a lovely, peaceful, and green neighbourhood in Riga, only a 15-20 minute ride from the city centre. You can get everywhere easily with public transportation, Bolt, or CityBee etc. If you have a drivers license, you are welcome to use my car.

There's a forest nearby with some beautiful hiking trails and a lake. Lots of nature around.

I have a good setup for remote workers - great Wi-Fi, an electric sit/stand desk, a monitor, mic, webcam you can use.

There's also a small garden where you can hang out.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

There's a gas cooktop in the kitchen which might take a few tries to get used to. However, I have no problem cooking with it.

If you want to explore the Latvian countryside, other cities, or even go on short trips to Lithuania and Estonia, it's definitely possible to arrange that you can leave the apartment for 2-3 days at a time. I highly encourage you to explore Latvia, as it's such a stunning country.

I will be leaving on April 18, and you'll have to arrive before my departure. My return date; however, is not set in stone yet, but I'm planning to return around June 10 -12.

Can I bring my own pets?
