I am looking for mature, housesitter(s) who will care for my dog and my property as if they were theirs. This sit is ideal for someone who can handle a 60 lb dog and who loves long walks. What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Chester can be a very energetic senior dog. No health issues. He requires a minimum of TWO 30 minute or longer walks a day, preferably with a bathroom break midday.

Additionally, watering plants and keeping my house tidy and clean. In winter, it is advisable to shovel the walk for yourself and the postman. I do not have a service.

What are the good features of the property and location

My location is in a very quiet, safe suburban area with access to transit: Toronto buses steps away and a train (GO train) is a 15 minute walk. The train will take you to the city centre in 30 minutes.

My home is situated on a very quiet street. It backs on to a ravine / green space. My kitchen has an incredible peaceful view of the ravine. Deer are frequently present or passing through.

Fast internet. Office / desk space. Modern kitchen. Very clean.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Chester is your primary concern. He can be left for several hours without issue. He does not have separation anxiety but you will be met with exuberance, even if you have been gone 10 minutes. He is a people dog. He can pull on walks if he sees another dog. You need to be strong enough to handle the sudden tugs.

This is an ideal location if you want quiet time for work. Grocery is walkable but not super close. A car can be made available for your use.
