About this assignment

I would hope for reasonable levels of "the four C's": care, consideration, cleanliness, and communication. This is not a complicated sit, and Maya the cat is easy to know and care for.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The only responsibilities are afternoon and night feedings for Maya, watering a plant or two occasionally, and leaving the place in a similar state to how you found it. If you sometimes need to miss a feeding, we'll have a friend fill in for you,

What are the good features of the property and location

A relatively quiet block just off the main drag in the center of town. Steps away from theaters, restaurants, community events, all kinds of shops, bars, breweries...you name it. My condo unit is ample size (1,400 sq. ft.), secure, and quiet. You won't see neighbors very often, but they're all very nice. Situated 15-20 minutes from hiking trails and other natural beauty, easy freeway access, and handy to grocery shopping. The living is easy and I absolutely love being here! Asheville is on many top-10 lists of great travel destinations.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

In the past, I've had sitters of varying ages, ethnicities, and physical abilities. But all have said they thoroughly enjoyed sitting. I've only been using MindMyHouse for a short time, however, and unfortunately their reviews do not transfer from TrustedH.S. I can supply references upon request.
