About this assignment
My ideal sitter: aside from must love cats, obviously, must be non-smoking and no young kids (cats have never met young kids and wouldn't know how to deal with them.)
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The six cats are all indoor cats; they go outside in the garden and love sunning themselves out there. But overnight or when I leave the house, they come inside. So the usual cat tasks, add food (dry) and top up water daily, give them daily treats along with River's meds, empty the litter trays - we have very hygienic and eco-friendly litter that is bio-degradable and clean, so it's not so unpleasant. Then love and play with them of course.
Lock the doors when you go out, making sure the cats are inside.

What are the good features of the property and location
Sabadell is a lovely city with everything you need, and is not far from Barcelona - 40 minutes by train, less by car. There are a lot of lovely country walks around Sabadell and lots of shops too.
My apartment has a great terrace to relax on, a separate guestroom, some gym equipment, and an office space.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I would prefer no young children with the sitters as my cats aren't used to them. Respectful with the flat and loving with the cats. I'm always flexible on a few extra nights either side of the sit date to ease your travels.

This sit was a reunion with Angela
This sit was a reunion with Angela, but mostly with the lovely six, Cash, Tango, River, Song, Five and little Nessy! Again Angela showed me around in this for me and her new hometown, and we had a lovely meal together. This appartement is the home of the 6 cats, and we as human staff, are welcome guests. They do their thing, have their play toys, their own space, furniture and habits. Ofcourse you find their traces all over, but thats to be expected. And for us as guests, we have a nice bed, shower and kitchen. When the weather is nice, a nice terras availlable for the gang and us. The town is nice, has all needed shops and more, since it is very peacefull. The train takes you into the city centre in about 50 minutes, and is frequent. This week was for me a very, very nice stay and sit in this part of Barcelona. I enjoyed the company of the cats to the max, and they were very relaxed, so I guess they had a good time too! Thanks Angela, for letting me having my 3rd sit at yours!

We had a wonderful experience at Angela’s place! The house is beautiful and very well located, with everything you might need close by. The cats were amazing — all very sweet and well-behaved. I had an amazing time in Sabadell with six little angels, and I already miss every one of them! 😁Angela is an incredible person—so kind and polite. She treated me wonderfully and even let me stay at her place for two nights before her flight. She's incredibly generous ❤️ She showed me around her apartment and gave me great tips about the neighborhood. It was no surprise that her cats are just as hospitable as she is. Tango is a chatterbox—my little talkative friend. We shared so many ideas during the day and even napped together! River is the sweetest little thing, with her Disney-like eyes and gentle nature. Her walk is the cutest thing you've ever seen. Song is the sleep master—the most relaxed cat ever! Probably dreaming of treats… He would wake up just to eat, drink, play, and then go right back to sleep. Such a funny boy! Cash is the sweetest teddy bear—also chatty and incredibly cuddly. He would gently wake you up when it was time for breakfast! Ness is another sweet friend who enjoys his treats during a special kitchen moment with you. He loves cuddles when the others aren’t around—a sweet boy, though sometimes a bit shy around loud noises. Five is a funny one—sometimes cuddly, sometimes shy—but one thing’s for sure: she loves her mummy so much and is the most energetic of them all! A sweet baby, too. They all live together in such harmony—chilled, happy cats. Angela is a lovely person to talk to: positive, full of energy, and completely devoted to her furry babies. They're lucky to have her. Her apartment is cozy, and you truly feel at home in beautiful, peaceful Sabadell. There are bakeries, a supermarket, and other shops just a street away—very convenient! Thank you, Angela! ❤️

I was sitting Angelas cats for one week and I would definitely do it again. The fluffies are so cute and easy going and everything went great from the beginning to the end. I was able to work from there without a problem and the communication with Angela as well as her hospitality were amazing.

I had a lovely time cat sitting for Angela and her six delightful cats. They were all so sweet and good natured and surprisingly easy to care for, despite being six of them. They were all little angels and made me feel so much at home. As did Angela. She was so friendly and explained everything clearly to me. I really enjoyed my first sit at Angela's apartment in Sabadell. Angela was very welcoming and friendly and made myself and my travel companion feel very at home. It was a pleasure having the cats around, they were no trouble and very entertaining. The ginger boys (Tango & Cash) are very confident and friendly and will greet you as soon as you come in. River & Song are very sweet tabbies that spend a lot of time curled up together and also enjoy some human attention. Ness is a lovely boy, initially very shy, but he became more confident and friendly with each day. Little Five was quite nervous and generally kept her distance but did allow a chin rub on occasion. Angela's apartment is located on a quiet street that is very close to a main shopping street that has everything you will need. We really liked Sabadell, there are some very interesting walking trails (modernista and industrial heritage trails) around the city which is a good way to explore. We ate some great food in the local restaurants and the market is superb. There are also endless walking trails in the countryside around Sabadell. All in all it was an excellent sit, thank you Angela and los gatos!

We spent a lovely New Year Eve in cat paradise
We spent a lovely New Year Eve in cat paradise! We came late in the evening and Angela came to meet us at the train station nearby and greeted at her home with open arms. She made us feel like home and even ordered us some dinner. We really felt like visiting a family member or a close friend and we are thankful for her hospitality. The place is a cat lovers paradise! Every single one of them is nice and friendly but with a such different personality! Five and Ness are quite shy at first and more independent, so you probably won’t see them around you a lot (Ness will love some cuddles when nobody else is around though! Fivey will definitely come out when there’s treats around) River and Song are the sweetest duo always sleeping and cuddling together, and the gingies Cash and Tango will always love to come to you for some cuddle and snack (especially Cash). We truly loved it here and would have loved to spend some more time here as Angela invited us to stay as long as we want (It’s a shame we booked an apartment already too early). If you are a cat lover (as you should lol) - this place is for you! Thank you Angela for everything and we hope to help you out in the future and for a chance to meet the fluffies again!

This was definitely the best sit I made so far. Angela was lovely, caring and so attentive with everything. I’ve never felt so like home as I have in her place. The fluffies are just AMAZING! This was the first time I was taking care of six cats. Each of them has their own personality and it’s just so thrilling spends each day discovering. Song is the big boss. He is quiet but loves cuddles on his belly. Very curious right? haha He purrs very loud. Riv is his tab. She is so caring and sweet! Almost everyday we shared the bed during my sleep. She takes medication in the morning but no trouble at all! Very easy to give it to her with treats. And then we have the both oranges. The talky and passionate oranges. Tango and Cash are amazing! They are the firsts ones you are going to have bond with. Just so soft and sweet. I loved spending time cuddling them like forever haha. Five is the more independent one. But once you manage to conquer her trust, you will see she is a sweet little thing. The last one is Nessy. He is a rescued little boy that requires more touch to be around. In my firsts two days I almost didn’t see him because he was hidden all the time. Then he was becoming comfortable around me and this was just wonderful. He looks at you with that cute face that makes you want to give him treats all the time haha. All of them have a special place in my heart. I will really miss them and Angela! This sit was just perfect. Thank you Angela and fluffies! I definitely recommend and I hope to come back in the future. 🥰 6

If you adore cats as much as we do, you will definitely love this sit!! It was totally awesome in every way and we came away sad to be leaving our newly found furry friends. They're all SO sweet and charming in their own way but we left with beautiful memories of each cat etched in our hearts and minds forever. :) From the moment Mark and I had a WhatsApp video chat with Angela, we knew we were going to love doing this sit, she's a delightful person, very easy going and extremely helpful. Angela introduced us to all her furry bundles and showed us around her fabulous apartment online during our first meeting. Communication throughout the sit with Angela from our original WhatsApp interview and throughout the sit was superb. Angela was very welcoming and had a delicious meal waiting for us when we arrived in the evening. She has a very comprehensive Welcome Guide and explained all the things we needed to know about each cat as well as where everything is in her apartment. As for her fur babies, where do we start... :) From funny Tango swaddling himself under covers to his crazy antics of doing zoomies all around the apartment, he was hilarious and loved being brushed and rubbed. His brother Cash, a big teddy bear, oh so sweet and enjoyed tonnes of affection. They always slept on our bed which we really enjoyed. River and Song, sweet siblings easy going, always together cuddled up and River especially enjoyed interacting and rubs. Little Five, a sweet little Calico stole our hearts, such a monkey, climbing up high and oh so affectionate especially if she was by herself without the other cats watching. She was a wee bit nervous at the beginning but we slowly gained her trust and she was often around enjoying some interaction with us and rubs. Ness the newest addition, was a lovely sweet boy and he was very brave coming up to share the sofa with me whenever I sat on the sofa, loved his rubs and cuddles. All so different but all SO adorable. Mark and I fell in love with them all and it was difficult as always to say goodbye after forming such strong bonds in a short time. It happens to us every time but we come away from our sits better people from our experiences. Oh yes and Angela's penthouse apartment was stunning. Very spacious, homely and with the two large terraces facing north and south, there was always a place to settle down outside with all our furry friends enjoying the fabulous views of not only the lovely town of El Vendrell but also we could see the sea and the craggy mountains of Montserrat in the distance. Thank you Angela for choosing us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with your furry lions in your beautiful home. If you get a chance to take Angela's sit, you will love every moment!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Angela's place. Her six cats were incredibly adorable! While having six cats might seem like a lot, they are all laid-back, and you won't find it challenging to keep up with them. Angela allowed me to arrive earlier, and thanks to her, I had the pleasure of experiencing sunny and warm days in January! A definite 10/10 experience and I would definitely come back to look after her babies again!

This was such a fantastic house sit. Angela was organised, warm and very hospitable — she met us upon arrival at the train station and she made every effort to ensure we were comfortable from the get go. We were thoroughly briefed about the sit (and we were spoilt!). Her house has a beautiful view of El Vendrell, which is a lovely little town. In my 2nd year of house sitting
In my 2nd year of house sitting, this was only the 2nd time going to an address l'd been before..because I loved it so much the Ist time! That was over the X Mas holidays...now high summertime. And it was a true home coming week! The faboulous 6 were even more lovely than I remembered, and it was great to meet Angela again! I felt soooo welcome and had a very nice week. The town is lovely, has still that charming atmosphere, the beaches are only 5km by foot or train... but most of all was sitting on one of the 2 terrasses, and looking out over the hills and El Vendrell in the best company of 6 lovely furry cats, the best moments...mornings and evenings I felt connected to the 6 as of the first moment we did meet, and even more when 1 left again Angela, thank you for having me again, it was great!

I had a great stay at Angela's and the best company of 6 totally different, but oh oh soooo lovely cats! Adorable, each of them. It was a completely relaxed 10 days sit cause the 6 amuse themselves perfrctly, but love to sit and hang around your presence. We also had lovely conversations... they speak Dutch now! At home now and miss them already. The information Angela provides is excellent, complete. A study worth so good to know details. And I felt welcome all the time, very nice and relaxed. A great sit, lovely 6, a nice town itself and very near to train connection for Tarragona or elsewhere. The walk to the beaches is easy...so, I had a great time with the 6!

I had an amazing time housesitting for Angela in El Vendrell! She is so welcoming, friendly and kind that I felt like I'd made a new friend straight away when I arrived a couple of days before her trip. The stars of the show were of course the 6 wonderful cats who made for great company during the sit, and were really a delight to care for. The routine is surprisingly easy, with food twice a day, plenty of playtime/cuddles when you're at home, and a pill for River which she takes with no problems. I really loved making friends with them all, and winning over the shyer Ness and Five during my time there. The town is lovely, with train connections to Tarragona, Barcelona, Montserrat (highly recommended for a day trip!) and the nearby coast. Several supermarkets, lots of cafes & other shops can be found very close to the home. Communication with Angela before and during the sit was very smooth - I loved sending pics of the cats and seeing how her trip was going as well. The welcome guide is clear and comprehensive. I really recommend this sit and hope to return one day to see all my cat pals again. Thanks Angela! :)

The housesit for Angela and her sweet cats was simply magical! Angela is a beautiful soul, and I really enjoyed getting to know her when we met briefly before and after the sit. The six cats are incredibly sweet with delightfully distinct personalities, and it was very smooth and simple to take care of them all. Angela explains everything very well, and the vet is very close if needed. The apartment is spacious and lovely, with two terraces! It's really easy to get into the town center, and from El Vendrell to Tarragona, Barcelona, and all the lovely beaches. But honestly, El Vendrell is such a lovely town, I hardly wanted to leave! I would go back in a heartbeat. This is a wonderful housesitting opportunity.
