About this assignment
We are looking for a responsible, attentive, caring and clean dog lover who leaves a place nicer than they found it. Ideally, you'll have a nice flow to your day that doesn't have you away from the home too long - but certainly long enough to enjoy everything Denver offers (think no longer than 6-8 hours). Duke is very low-key and easy to care for. He loves being scratched and pet!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Responsibilities are pretty minimal but important. Most notably, please take good care of Duke. He gets fed twice a day. He has a doggie door, so no need to take him outside. And we clean up after we get back. If you want to take him on a walk, feel free for up to a mile, but it is not imperative. And just care for the home certainly - making sure to clean up after yourself.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our home is only 8 years old and is our dream home. It is situated on the highline canal (80+ mile walking trail through Denver) and backs to a great Denver park. It is conveniently located about 10 minutes from DTC and 20 minutes from downtown with grocery stores and food about a mile or less away. You'll have your own private suite with king bed and view of the park. We lock off our offices due to being remote workers but there is ample room for you to spread out if you want to work from home. And we have a great kitchen if that inspires you.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The biggest considerations are listed in what we are looking for in a house sitter - someone to care for our yellow lab, be extremely responsible and caring. We do not want parties at the house - no smoking of anything anywhere on the property.

Colorado Home with the Sweetest Dog
My daughter and I felt welcomed into this lovely Colorado home. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience such a beautiful place. Of course, one of the very best parts of our visit was getting to spend time with Duke. He is such a sweet, lovable dog and brought us so much joy during our stay. A long weekend with Duke
This weekend was a walk down memory lane while caring for quiet, easygoing Duke. He just enjoys lots of love and will follow where you go. Short walks only for him and a nice brushing if you want. Mark is very responsive and has excellent instructions. For us this was a return to our old neighborhood where we raised our children for 18 years. In the past 25 years it is being gentrified including Dukes beautiful new home. A marvelous quiet area on the canal and park. Fantastic area for walking, restaurants and stores nearby.

Duke in Denver #2
Thoroughly enjoyed a second sit with Duke the great dog -- the sweetest lab I've met! Care instructions were very clear and detailed. Mark and Gina have a comfortable, lovely home. House is close to a nice walking path in a convenient part of town. Communication was easy and quick via text, email, and through the app. I'll gladly stay with Duke again!

A great stay!
I couldn’t be happier with my stay at Duke the dog's home. I received a thorough orientation to the house and taking care of Duke, followed by an in-depth written document to make sure Duke had everything he was happy while his owners were away. The home is gorgeous indoors, and has a beautiful backyard (plus easy access to walking path and park) -- making for an extra special stay. I highly recommend sitting for Mark and Gina, and wish others (and I'd return in a heartbeat!) the opportunity to spend time with the amazing Duke!
