MISTY CAT OLD WHITEBURN
Misty is a grey and white cat of 15 years old; she is very independent and will eventually come round to a bit off ear scratching but on her terms.
She stays in the house most of the time due to her age, she goes out first thing in the morning and returns to eat and will go out again if weather is fine.
She is shut in at night all the time from about 5pm till the morning (due to the road), she will use her litter tray.
Feeding she gets some mixed wet and dry feeding morning and night and fresh water.
We try to keep her out of the bedrooms by keeping the doors shut but sometimes she can sneak up the stairs.
At night she is shut in the kitchen on her beanbag this is to stop getting a very early morning call. She tends to scratch and yowl outside the bedroom door so please shut her in the kitchen at night. To entice her to do things she is very keen on Munchies.
No medicines are needed and she is fully up to date with her vaccinations.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To look after the animals which are very simple tasks. Also to make sure the house is being lived. There are no other responsibiliities MORNINGS
• Lead reign her out of stable to groom
• Refresh water in and out of stable if required
• Make up a new hay net only 2/3rds full and leave in stable for nighttime.
• Lift poop/ wet bedding and put in muck spreader
• Refresh bedding with either shavings or pro bed
• Leave all stable top and bottom doors shut during the day
• Leave Savannah to roam in small paddocks next to stables
• Navy thin waterproof on only if heavy persistent torrential rain
• Spray with Citronella if flies are bad and put on fly mask.

EVENINGS
• Tie up lead reign short, to pick out feet {foot pick hanging up on wheel rim outside tack room}
• Groom and lead reign her into stable for the night
• Pick up poop from grass in paddocks and put in the muck spreader
• Close top and bottom door of stable.

Please leave chain on paddock gate at night or if you are going out during the day.

Savannah is easy to handle. She is a 28-year-old mare who loves her food, but there is no need to give her anything other than a carrot now and again. She will love you for it! She is used to going into her stable at night which I continue doing during the summer to reduce her time spent eating grass.

Person looking after her, must be able to put on a head collar, a horse rug if necessary and be confident to lead reign her in and out of the fields.
If you do not feel confident to do any of the above, then I will arrange for my horse to be looked after by someone other than the house sitter.

What are the good features of the property and location

Great walks, great access to the serrounding Borders and close to all the major Border towns. Ther is a fishing pond on the property and access to many walks and historical buildings and scenery. Great road system all directions including the coast.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Animal husbandry for both a cat and a horse. Also staying and sleeping in the house. we will supply food if needed also we are willing to pay for the period the house sitters are staying
