About this assignment
A single person or couple with a mature approach. People looking to visit this area as part of a bigger voyage or digital nomads are welcome. We can offer your own living space and have lots of flexibility on dates.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We have three cats, who will need feeding morning and evening. Keep the house clean and tidy. There is a hot tub at the property and if sitters wish to use this, some testing of water, adding chemicals may be necessary (we will provide written instructions).
What are the good features of the property and location
Our house is located practically in the centre of Shepton Mallet, with shops, takeaways, restaurants etc a few minutes’ walk away. Some public transport available, such as a direct bus to Bath.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Getting around is easier with a car, though not impossible by public transport. The cats and house are pretty easy and amenities all walkable.

Onvergetelijk lief en gastvrij/ fijne oppastijd beleefd
Wat waren wij ongelofelijk verrast door de gastvrijheid van Carole en Geoffrey. Carole had een heerlijke maaltijd klaargemaakt diw we gezamenlijk met hun beide hebben genuttigd. Zo maakten we meteen goed kennis met elkaar. Er was zoveel ruimte voor ons beschikbaar om te verblijven. Er ontbrak ons aan niets. Koelkast gevuld met lekkers. Ook voor ontbijt was voldoende aanwezig. En ja ...de allerliefste katten als huisgenootjes. Direct zo vertrouwd, met ieder hun eigenzinnige karakter. Bernhard de lieve goedzak met zijn leuke spelletje om aan te geven dat hij een snoepje wilde. Stormzy die 's morgens als eerste koppies kwam geven om te vertellen dat hij blij was ons te zien en wel wat eten wilde. En dan de jonge Wallace....zo speels en bedrijvig. Zeer aanhankelijk. We zullen deze 3 mannetjes en hun lieve baasjes nooit vergeten.

Great house sit, lovely people, adorable pets!
This was our first house sit and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Carole and Geoff were so welcoming and Bernard, Stormzy and Wallace are adorable, well behaved and a pleasure to take care of. The home owners notes were very detailed and most useful. Shepton Mallett is a very nice market town and all amenities are within walking distance. We would happily house sit for Carole and Geoff again and would recommend them.
