About this assignment

Must have a car and be kind, caring and reliable. One of my cats is very nervous and tends to avoid most humans so an understanding of giving him space to feel free to come home is necessary.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding the cats wet food twice a day.
Giving fresh water daily and ensuing the dry food supply doesn’t run out.
A bit of love and affection if they need it.

What are the good features of the property and location

Peaceful and quiet with an abundance of nature. The cottage is set in 12 acres of woodland, at the end of a 2 to 3 mile single track lane. No traffic except the odd deer or badger. Guildford is a mere 15 minute drive, with other towns also close by. The train from Guildford takes 45 minutes to Waterloo.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is essential. There is no public transport within 3 miles and taxis do not come to the cottage. The internet is also slow and sketchy. It’s fine for streaming or internet browsing most of the time but won’t support working from home.
