Pet sitter wanted – cat & dog, Auckland home with hot tub/pizza oven

About this assignment

We’re looking for a kind, friendly, and confident house sitter who will care for our home and pets as if they were their own. Our pets are very much part of our family, and we’d love to receive regular updates and photos so we know they’re happy and well while we’re away.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Ideally, we’re looking for a house sitter who enjoys spending time with pets and feels comfortable caring for Neo and Alfie as part of their daily routine. Neo loves his walks and would be happy with either two shorter walks a day or one longer adventure. Both Neo and Alfie are fed twice a day and really enjoy having people around and getting to know new faces.

Neo will be almost two and is full of energy and personality. At his current age (1.25 years), he’s happiest when not left alone for more than around five hours. Alfie enjoys pottering outside in the reserve during the day, usually when someone is home. As he’s a white cat, we apply sunscreen before he heads out to keep him protected.

What are the good features of the property and location

We have a new build three-bedroom home featuring a hot tub and an outdoor pizza oven, backing directly onto a reserve with peaceful estuary views. The property is located in ?t?huhu, just a 10-minute drive to Sylvia Park shopping centre, 25 minutes by car to Auckland CBD, and approximately a 20-minute walk to ?t?huhu Train Station.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our home has security cameras in place for safety and insurance purposes (outdoor only). One off-street car park is available for the house sitter to use.

Can I bring my own pets?
