Look after our lovely home the dogs and the cats - out in the green (20 mins away from Zürich Switzerland)

About this assignment

Even when we are on holiday, we want our pets and our home to be well looked after and to be loved as we do.... :-) We are looking for a trustworthy and caring person or a friendly couple for our home in the countryside with a garden and our beloved animals: Chilli Bean, Lucan and Mimi are the dogs and Elvis and Findus the cats.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have three dogs, two small ones and one friendly, lively Irish Setter. They all love being outdoors, but they also enjoy relaxing at home. We also have two cats who spend a lot of time outdoors and need to be fed. All five are a happy fury-family.
Responsibilities in general will be:
-Feeding the dogs and cats
-Taking the dogs for one long walk per day (1-1.5H) and making sure they are having 3-4 pee breaks per day around the house.
(During the night they are OK without going out for 8-10H).

What are the good features of the property and location

There is a lot to do, because we live in the middle of nature on a hiking trail, in a peaceful location but still only 20 minutes from downtown Zurich or to Rapperswil or 30mins to Lucerne. The lake of Zurich is also only a few minutes' drive from our home.
It is advantageous to have a car when living here, but it is also easily accessible by public transport. So all in all very easy going.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our dogs enjoy being at home and need to be fed once a day and taken for a long walk every day. All of the animals are fine being left alone at home for several hours. The two older cats are also very easy to care for and do not need much attention as they spend a lot of time outdoors. You are welcome to do some gardening, but it is not required. The house has two staircases, so it is an advantage if you are good on your feet, as this makes walking more comfortable, but we do not live in the mountains, so normal footwear and a normal level of fitness are absolutely fine.

**IMPORTANT: We currently have a lovely, very quiet friend living in a room in our house, so you won't be completely alone, but as he works, you will hardly ever see him**
