About this assignment

We’re looking for a reliable, easygoing house sitter who enjoys spending time with a calm, affectionate dog and is comfortable following a simple daily routine. Someone who values clear communication, treats the home with care, and is happy in a relaxed, low-key environment would be a great fit.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

four outdoor trips per day: two longer walks (30+ minutes) in the morning and evening, plus two shorter outings during the day for bathroom breaks and a stretch. Morning walks can be anytime between 6–9am, and evening walks anytime between 7–10pm.

He is fed twice daily (morning between 7–9am, evening between 4–6pm). He eats raw food, and we provide clear instructions and are happy to walk sitters through the process. He has no medications or special medical needs and is comfortable being left alone for up to 6 hours, provided he’s had his longer walk beforehand.

Home-related tasks are minimal and include light watering of one or two house plants, checking the mailbox every few days, and keeping the home generally tidy. In winter, property management handles major snow removal; in the case of heavier snowfall, sitters may need to shovel the immediate entryway and their assigned parking spot only.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is a comfortable townhome in SW Calgary with a cozy main living area, a dedicated guest bedroom, and multiple work-from-home setup options. The area is walkable, close to restaurants, grocery stores, transit, and the Westbrook LRT station. Parking is available within the complex, and the home is well suited for longer stays.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This sit is best suited to someone comfortable with a dog who needs daily walks and enjoys human attention and cuddles. The primary bedroom will be closed during the sit, but the rest of the home is fully accessible. Sitters should be comfortable with a calm household and following a straightforward, flexible routine.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
