He's a sweet, social tabby estimated to be 13 years old.
We are looking for a cat lover (1 person or a couple) who is reliable, communicative, and respectful of neighbors to stay take care of our senior tabby cat while we are away. Though he's not a lap cat, he's very social—even when he's snoozing he likes to be nearby and enjoy your company.
Our cat needs to be fed wet and dry food and given one pill daily. He eats incrementally throughout day and night so an automatic feeder can assist with this, but it would need to be set up twice daily. He enjoys daily playtime and brushing, and needs to have his litter box scooped every other day. As we love this cat so much, we would expect updates with photos daily.
Our apartment is on beautiful brownstone Brooklyn block minutes from Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and several major subway lines. It is on a residential block but just steps from great restaurants, a grocery store, and other amenities. The living room and dining room are spacious and bright and overlook the street. We have 1 bedroom with a Queen sized bed facing the courtyard so it is quiet (the other bedroom is an office). We have Wifi, a projector, laundry in the basement, and air conditioning unit in bedroom and living room.
Accessibility: The apartment is located up two flights of stairs.
Light sleepers note: As many cats do, ours will attempt to wake you up to feed him a couple times in the night/early morning. The automatic feeder helps with this, and many of our friends who have stayed with him can sleep through it! I simply gave in and feed him a couple times in the night and fall back to sleep!
City living: Our apartment is remarkably quiet for being in NYC but we do live in a 20 unit building across the courtyard from another 20 unit building so sometimes you can hear a neighbor or other pet. It is very rarely ever a bother.
No smoking or additional guests allowed.
No, sorry.

Perfect stay in Brooklyn with Sanderson
It was a great pleasure to mind Sanderson in Brooklyn. He is a special cat , very social and sweet. He loves company and he often came on the bed. He loved his morning brushing. I loved to be with him. He is good in showing what he wants. I had a wonderful time in New York and I felt very lucky to have the opportunity to stay at Sara's and Erin 's place. I felt confortable and very welcome. Sara gave good instructions before coming and explained all I had to know when I arrived. When Sara and Erin were away we had contact by Whatsapp. They sent me photos from their holiday which I loved. The appartement is cosy, comfortable, quiet, light and very spacious, close to the subway, restaurant, cafés, shops and supermarkets. Beautiful Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum just on walking distance. The area is very nice and interesting. Brooklyn is a great place to stay. Sara sent me a long list of restaurants. There is no place like New York . Great to explore. Unfortunately time passed too fast. Thank you, Sara, Erin and Sanderson for the unforgettable time I had. It was such a good experience.
