Beautiful Georgian flat close to centre with clingy cats

About this assignment

My home is calm, warm, and lived-in — and my cats are a central part of that. I’m looking for a sitter who genuinely enjoys being at home, enjoys animals as companions (not just “pets”), and is comfortable with a close, affectionate dynamic.

The cats need presence, attention, and company rather than just routine care. It suits someone who finds joy in daily interaction, play, and engagement rather than long stretches away from the house.

Please note: This is a solo sit. Couples, please do not apply as I specifically need a single sitter for this booking.

The cats prefer someone who will not be gone longer than 6 hours or so.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Wet food twice a day, hard food. They have a water fountain which I make sure is full before I leave. Kitty litter x 2 once or twice a day. Play with cats, cuddle them, enjoy them, don't lock them out of rooms since it makes them anxious. They sleep on the bed. I make sure all bed clothing is clean before you come, of course. They absolutely love humans.

What are the good features of the property and location

It's very central to Bath and flat walk of 10-15 mins to the centre. River path leads to train station 15-20 minutes away but I usually pick up sitters from station. It's on major bus routes. It's opposite Victoria Park, right near Royal Crescent, it's on a crescent overlooking a green, next to the river, and has a large back garden (communal). It has original features. Beautiful, light-filled flat. 5 minutes walk to Sainsbury's - huge shop - by river route.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It's a solo sit. The cats like to sleep on the bed. I like daily photo and text updates, the more the merrier though even one helps. The sitter needs to be fairly agile since they always get into trouble and one likes to sit on doors and other high places. I will make your stay as comfortable as possible - if you need supplies because you're coming late, I can get them. I often take sitters on a short drive around Bath if time because it's hilly and some great views. All your choice of course and what you feel comfortable with. Only friends, siblings, etc, if pre-notified.
