About this assignment

Hi there! I recently relocated back to St Pete from South Florida. I’m a remote worker who occasionally travels for work, and I’m looking for a kind, trustworthy pet sitter to care for my furry (and finned) family while I’m away. I share my quiet home in St Petersburg—just 15 minutes from downtown St. Pete—with a fun, loving mix of animals and one peaceful koi pond.

All of my animals are affectionate and enjoy company—especially women. They may take a little longer to warm up to men, but once they do, they’re very sweet. I’d love to find a sitter with a calm, caring energy and pet experience. If you're comfortable giving an injection, a pill once a day, keeping an eye on the pond water and playing nonstop tug, you'll do great.

I don’t need constant updates—just someone who can reply within a few hours if I check in and who’s genuinely happy spending time with animals. If you’re a respectful sitter who values a cozy home, animal companionship, and a peaceful setting, you’ll love staying here.

Looking forward to connecting with like-minded pet lovers! The arrival and departure dates can be flexible. I put the dates I will be away in the listing.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Here’s who you’ll be spending time with:
- Chief is my 11-year-old cuddle bug and the only boy in the group. He’s sweet, loves treats, and is best friends with Luna, my dog. He gets daily insulin injections, morning and night.
- Renegade is a 10-year-old cat with big "queen of the house" energy. She’s independent, prefers to spend most of the day outdoors, and just needs a daily pill (which she takes fairly easily).
- Lucy (aka Lucifurr!) is 3 years old and loves head and neck pets. She lives up to her nickname with a dash of sass but is super sweet. She rarely leaves the house.
- Luna is my 4-year-old terrier mix. She's chill-energy, loves playing tug, and is very bonded with Chief.

And out back, there’s a koi fish living happily in a relaxing pond—just a quick top-up with hose water now and then keeps things perfect.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is a 3/2 on a quiet street and 15 minutes to downtown St Petersburg, 15 minutes to the beach (Treasure Island) and 30 minutes to downtown Tampa. I have a nice fenced in backyard with a mango tree and pond which makes for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Sitters can stay in the guest bedroom and use the office area.

My home is non-smoking, open, and has a warm, laid-back vibe. The backyard pond and fountain create a peaceful outdoor space—perfect for morning coffee or evening unwinding. The high-speed internet and dedicated office setup (complete with adjustable stand up desk) also make it ideal for remote workers.

Home amenities include: Queen guest bed, guest bathroom with shower/tub combo with bathroom essentials, guest closet, high speed WIFI, dedicated workspace, electric stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, blender, cooking basics (pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, oil, salt, pepper, spices), AC, heat, clothes washer, clothes dryer, iron, vacuum, mop, cleaning products, patio with outdoor dining area.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Please be comfortable giving an injection. I can provide a video to help if you need to see it being done. You also need to be ok giving a pill. The animals can stay home alone if needed, there is a flap out back that they go in and out of. The only thing is you must be home to give Chief his injections. He gets them 2 times a day, 12 hours apart.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
