About this assignment

We need a cat-lover who doesn't mind spending some extra time petting and feeding our boys. Be responsible, leave the house clean like you found it. No overnight guests.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Twice a day the boys need to be fed separately so the younger, feistier cat doesn't eat all the food. Our older cat likes his pet-time and needs about an hour in the morning to take in his whole meal, much quicker at night. Cats are fine using the kitty door during the day or night, but the sitter should stay at the house every night. No litter box as cats use the outdoors. Check the house daily for spots where one of the cats may have spit up as they occasionally get sick after eating grass or other non-food.

Comfortable, walkable neighborhood within 1-2 miles of grocery stores, restaurants and shops in downtown Vancouver. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Portland, OR activities, or 1 hour from world famous Hood River in the Columbia River Gorge featuring parasailing, beautiful hiking trails and Mt. Hood vistas. Quick freeway access to I5 just 4 minutes away, Portland airport 25 minutes away. The yard is a beautiful and relaxing place to BBQ or have a glass of wine in the back covered porch area. Loads of flowers to enjoy for 3 seasons, warm cozy fireplace in the winter. Great Wi-Fi speed for those working from home.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Beware, these kitties may steal your heart. It's an easy sit as no walking the pets or cleaning a cat box daily. Only twice daily feedings.
