About this assignment

Patient, kind, and experienced sitter who confidently cares for an energetic German Shepherd and a blind senior Golden Retriever—both incredibly gentle and kind with people, making every interaction a joy.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs need to be fed in the morning and again in the late evening. They go for two proper walks each day, and they can also go into the garden for quick pee breaks in between.

There are a few plants that need regular watering, and we also have a small pond with fish that require daily feeding.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is in a calm residential neighborhood with excellent access to daily needs. The bus stop is only a five?minute walk away, and a grocery store can be reached in about ten minutes on foot. The area is surrounded by green spaces, making it ideal for cycling, walking, and running.

The house offers fast WiFi, TV, Sound system, a fully equipped kitchen, a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and a designated guest bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a closet. There is plenty of space on the ground floor that sitters are welcome to use during their stay.

The property includes a large garden that requires no maintenance, but it’s a lovely place to enjoy tea or coffee and relax during the day.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our German Shepherd, Odin, is very kind and gentle with humans. However, around other dogs he can become excited and may try to pull or bark to get their attention, as he wants to play. He is not aggressive, but managing him in these moments can require experience and physical strength.

Our Golden Retriever is blind and elderly, so he moves at a slower pace. He tends to bark whenever Odin barks, simply reacting to the situation rather than showing any aggression.

Overall, their care is not complicated, but it does require confidence, calmness, and experience handling large dogs, particularly in situations where other dogs are nearby.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
