Beautiful flat in Madrid and an easy going dog

About this assignment

We are looking for a friendly, trustworthy and responsible person (ideally single female or female couple) to look after our home, plants and dog.

We will be away 6-9th of August. And looking at something within 11-31 August but not confirmed our plans yet.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The home and dog are very easy, we ask that you keep our house clean and tidy, look after the plants and the dog.

We have quite a few indoor plants that have specific needs as one or two are recovering from thrips - so would love someone who’s aware and used to looking after them.

It’s will be really warm, so Tuva will need to go out before 10am and later in the evening. She is well behaved in the parks and can come in cafes/ bars when it’s cooler out. No long walks over summer so really she’s not a hassle to care for, just some good company and cuddles.
She sleeps in her own bed. All bedroom doors close if you need.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in an easy-going area just south of the river in Madrid.
You can get to the centre in 20 minutes on the metro (2 minute walk away), or 40 minute walk if you fancied!
We are close to 2 different metro lines. Everywhere is within 30 minute trip.
We are also close to many larger parks of madrid; the Rio (15 mins) San Isidro (10 mins) and Plaza Eliptica (10 mins)
The flat is spacious and very light, you have your own double room, we have aircon in the living room as well as a large tv, and a south-facing balcony to relax on.
The home is tranquil but close to the centre and great locally places to eat and relax.
There a great climbing gym near us if that’s your thing.
It’s just under an hour drive to amazing hikes and the pedriza mountains.
There are many public pools you can book for really hot days, or lakes and rivers near the mountains.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It’s will be really warm, so Tuva will need to go out before 10am and later in the evening. So you have the days to yourself for exploring etc. The home and dog are very easy, we ask that you keep our house clean and tidy, water the plants as advised :)
