Live the Wine Country Life in Sonoma with a Mini Aussie

Enjoy all that California wine country has to offer, while spending time with a sweet, goofy pup!

I'm looking for a considerate, responsible single person or couple (open to a pair of friends) to care for my Mini Aussie during upcoming ~10 day trips in May and July. My May dates are fairly firm, but the July dates have some flexibility, as I haven't booked that trip yet. It does not need to be the same sitter for both trips.

Dosie is 1.5 years old and fairly mellow for a young herding breed dog. No nipping your heels or obsessive fetch, and she settles well. That being said, she is smart and in her teenage era, so she does require some engagement and activity throughout the day. This sit is best suited to someone who is happy to get out for a walk and have a couple play sessions every day.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The primary responsibilities are caring for Dosie, which includes:
- Feeding 2-3 times a day (can skip lunch if you're out and about)
-Walks 1-2 times a day for ~30 mins. This can be supplemented with a trip to the dog park a couple times a week to get the zoomies out, if everyone is comfortable.
-A few indoor play or enrichment sessions throughout the day. She'll usually ask to play toss or tug while watching TV in the evenings, and I'll run through tricks and obedience commands while I'm cooking or taking a work break.
-Keeping her "porch potty" clean -- bagging poo and rinsing it with the hose every few days.

Dosie can be left for 7-8 hours at a time, so you can get out and explore the area. I just ask you don't leave her all day for multiple days in a row, since she's more used to a work-from-home lifestyle.

I have a few outdoor plants will need to be watered every day or two, but this is a quick job with the outdoor hose. Otherwise, enjoy yourself and keep things in good order.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in the heart of Sonoma, a small town, steeped in history and natural beauty. It's tourist friendly, but has maintained a strong sense of local community. Aside from wine, you'll find great restaurants and bars, two weekly farmers markets (one is basically a big town picnic with live music), an active arts scene and local boutiques (including the original Williams Sonoma location).

- Quiet, modern 2 bed/1.5 bath townhouse with a large, private patio with lounge seating and a propane grill.
-Double bed in a large, light-filled guestroom with a work from home set up and fast wifi available throughout the house.
-Shared POOL! for staying cool in the California sunshine.
-10 minute walk to the historic Sonoma Square, with dozens of restaurants, local shops and winery tasting rooms.
-Dozens more wineries are within 20-30 minutes throughout Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
-8 minute walk to a shopping center with a Whole Foods, CVS, a local department store and other amenities.
-Easy access to hiking via many local and state parks, and less than an hour to the coast.
-~1hr to Oakland and San Francisco for urban adventures.

Everything you need is within walking distance, but potential access to a car is available, with verification of a safe driving record. Uber/Lyft are also available in the area.
