About this assignment

We’re looking for a reliable, tidy and animal-loving house sitter who will treat our home with care and keep things running smoothly while we’re away. Ideally, someone who enjoys being around animals but is also happy having their own space, as the pets are very low maintenance once you know their routine. We value clear communication, respect for our home, and someone who will settle in and enjoy their stay

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The routine is simple and consistent. You’ll need to feed the cats and dogs twice a day, scoop the litter trays daily, and let the dogs out regularly for toilet breaks (they have access to a secure garden). The dogs are happy with either a short walk or some playtime in the garden, so no long walks are required. You’ll also need to top up water bowls, water houseplants roughly once a week, and keep the home tidy and secure during your stay.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home offers a great balance of comfort and location. We’re just 10 minutes from both Swansea city centre and the beach, with easy access to Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula. The house itself is spacious and well-equipped, with a large living area, bright conservatory, garden with seating and gazebo, and extras like a home gym and red light sauna. There’s parking available, a bus stop directly outside, and plenty of cafés, restaurants and scenic walks nearby.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We do have multiple pets (three dogs and six cats), but they’re all friendly, used to people, and follow a very straightforward routine. There are no behavioural issues or special care requirements, and no long walks are needed. The pets can be left for reasonable periods during the day, so you’ll still have plenty of freedom to explore the area. This is a relaxed sit, but it’s best suited to someone confident managing a multi-pet household.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
