About this assignment
Someone who loves cats and will look after Oka when I'm away as I would when I'm home and feel like they are home too
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feed - 2x (dry & wet food)
Play - a couple of 10min session a day
Clean litter - scoop every other day
Plants - only for long sits
What are the good features of the property and location
Amazing views over the Welsh Harp, brand new flat with easy access to parks and only 25min to central London. Balcony, your own bathroom and a dishwasher! ;)
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
As I usually travel abroad for work assignment, it is sometimes difficult to agree to a sitter travelling in on the same day I have to leave. 100% related to airlines and trainlines being less than reliable those days!

I really enjoyed my stay
I really enjoyed my recent stay at Sandra's lovely apartment looking after her adorable cat Oka who is a gentle nature friendly ginger giant who enjoys human company and being stroked and play time as well as his food and treats of course between him enjoying the fabulous far reaching views from the windows overlooking an impressive section of the London skyline and the adjacent peaceful waterside nature reserve. Oka is easy to take care of and i had a helpful chat with Sandra in advance followed by her sending me a very useful welcome guide which she also kindly printed off for me to refer to during the sit. Communication was excellent before and during the sit and i also had a helpful handover on my start day. The apartment is modern, clean, comfortable and spacious as well as being conveniently located near local transport links as well as being about a minutes or two from a small supermarket and other shops and a large supermarket is also about 10 minutes walk away. All in all i definitely recommend this sit and am very happy and grateful to be returning again for another sit.

I had such a lovely sit
I had such a lovely sit for Oka, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it. During the whole stay, Oka was always very close to me. Whenever I petted him, he would stay right by my side, and he loved being with me on the bed and the sofa. He was incredibly sweet and affectionate, and I found everything about him so cute and comforting. Taking care of Oka was very easy. Sandra is also such a kind and thoughtful person. She arranged a bed for me, which I really appreciated, I absolutely love her energy. She is a total rockstar, warm, lovely, and very easy to communicate with.

I have had a really lovely stay
I have had a really lovely stay here over the past few days. The balcony is extremely beautiful, and the view is genuinely stunning. There is something about it that immediately makes you feel happy and at ease. Everything looks so nice that it almost feels unreal. The apartment itself is very quiet and peaceful, which I truly appreciated. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel settled. One thing I especially liked is how convenient everything is. Having a supermarket right downstairs makes daily life very easy, and everything you might need is close at hand. Sandra is a wonderful person. She was always encouraging me to simply enjoy my time here, which made me feel very welcome.Sandra will always like my pic take for oka hahah The kitchen is excellent. The cookware is very good and easy to use, and there is a wide variety of spices and seasonings available. As someone who enjoys cooking, this was something I really appreciated. The whole apartment feels warm, clean and fresh, and there is a sense of comfort that is hard to explain but very easy to feel. Sandra is very good about cooking too I guess hahah haha The staff in the building are also very kind and friendly. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. In addition, the surroundings here are incredibly beautiful. The scenery is simply lovely, and it is something I kept noticing throughout my stay. Oka is a very well-behaved and gentle baby. He never causes trouble, never makes noise, and is always calm, especially at night. He has a slow and cautious personality, so it is important to take time with him and not rush to build a connection. When he feels respected, he slowly begins to open up. Around the middle of my stay, I could feel that Oka had started to relax and lower his guard. He would often wait for me on the bed so I could gently pet him, or come and rub against me while I was cooking. It is important to respect Oka’s nature and give him time. Overall, I feel very lucky to have stayed here. I truly enjoyed this and I really like Sandra’s personality. Thank you very much for everything.

Sandra is such a lovely person
Sandra is such a lovely person, so easy to talk to and I was made to feel welcome in her home! I was super comfortable, with all the amenities. And Oka 😍 sweet ball of orange fluff with amber eyes! Amazing, gorgeous, big boy! I loved his headbutts, kisses and cuddles. I hope to look after him again!

We had a very lovely Christmas in London with Oka. He is a very chill (and biiiiig) cat who will give you a nice company. Oka’s (and Sandra’s) home is very well located in Muswell Hill since it is very close to its own center with all what you may need (and well connected to London center too) Sandra is a great host. She really made us feel like we were in our own home. Clear instructions, great communication, and awesome recommendations on what to do nearby and in London. Her place is really nice for holidays! And Oka is really easy (and fun) to take care of, as he is a really cute boy 😊 We definitely recommend sitting Oka! We will gladly come back if we have the chance to.

Second time
Second time sitting with Oka and still loving it - Sandra’s location near the Alexandra Palace is stunning and Oka is the cutest cat, very receptive to belly rubs and pats, and is super lovely back! Sandra’s communication was excellent and was always there on text or call if we had any questions. Recommended this sit!

Sandra was very welcoming and accomodating with her space. It is a lovely apartment and Oka is a very sweet cat, always happy to have pats and belly rubs. Location is great, just down the road from the gorgeous Alexandra Palace gardens.. Would recommend this sit to anyone!

Happily return any time
I had a very lovely sit for a few weeks with Oka in his, and Sandra’s, flat. He is such a cool, beautiful and also playful boy, great company. Their sunny flat is in the lovely quiet area of Muswell Hill. My first time there and I really enjoyed it. Everyman’s is a fab deco cinema close by, plus there are great places to eat and lots of parks to walk in. I took the train easily from there into London central. Sandra left the place immaculate for me, even with a treat and card when I arrived (always appreciated) and with great instructions before, and communication when I had a few questions while she was away. Her flat was warm, had all I needed, lovely views and free parking for my car on the street outside. I’d highly recommend sitting Oka for Sandra if you’re lucky enough. I’d happily return any time. Thanks. 😊

Had a lovely stay over Christmas. Lovely house, good location. Sandra was very easy to communicate with. Left us a plenty of information for things to do, places to visit ect. The house had everything we needed and more. Oka was very easy to look after, no issues at all. Would highly recommend this housesit to anyone.

It was great to come back
It was great to come back and look after Oka again! He’s a dream cat, very chilled and sociable, appreciates a good stroke and would always keep me a company. I would cat sit again
Just like the last time I looked after Oka, he was a delight to spend the week with! He is a curious and inquisitive cat with a sweet personality. He’s well behaved and equally happy to sleep the day away or zoom around the house hunting his beloved bottle caps! Sandra is the most thoughtful host and always easy to coordinate with. Her lovely home is comfortable, clean, and in a great neighbourhood. I would cat sit for Sandra again anytime!

I really enjoyed looking after Oka, he’s the sweetest ginger boy! He’s very playful and independent at the same time, loves his toys and very big on boxes :) He loves his food and of course don’t forget the treats! Sandra is an incredible cat mum and a wonderful host. She left very detail instructions for both Oka and her lovely apartment, so I truly felt like home. The flat is very modern and everything you need is there. Sandra was very responsive if I had questions, so everything went super smooth. I also loved the area, it’s very green, safe, with convenient transport links, shops and cafes. I would really recommend scoring your housesit with Oka & Sandra and no doubt will be happy to be back!

It was such a pleasure to catsit Oka for Sandra! Oka is a sweet, curious cat who is well behaved and super friendly. He loves a good play sesh, but is also content to do his own thing sometimes, so it was okay to leave him on his own for brief periods. Sandra was so hospitable and a great communicator, she made the entire experience very easy from start to finish. Her lovely home is cozy, clean and located in a great neighborhood. I'd happily return to look after Oka anytime!
