About this assignment

We're looking for a reliable, cat-loving sitter to care for our two sweet girls and enjoy our home as their own. It's a perfect spot for remote workers: a dedicated office, monitors, and very fast fibre internet. Care for the cats and treat the house and plants with respect, and you'll feel right at home.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Each morning, open the garden doors so the cats can have their outdoor time. The cats stay only in the garden. Feed them dry food for Yani plus wet food for both. Brie also gets food via an automatic feeder. Refresh water daily, and scoop the litter tray. Wet food is around 6pm or whenever you arrive home. Bring them indoors by 8/9pm. Doors stay closed when nobody is home. Clean the litterboxes fully once a week, and water the plants.

What are the good features of the property and location

A light, sunny home in an up-and-coming part of Almere Haven, a friendly neighbourhood by the forest, just 20 minutes from Amsterdam by car (we'll share a trick to park in the city for €5). Surrounded by nature, water, and walking routes, with excellent birdwatching, swimming spots, and watersports. Two bikes provided, a dedicated office, monitors, a big TV for movie nights, fast fibre internet.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The cats stay in the garden only, never out front or roaming the neighbourhood, and no smoking indoors. You don't need to be home all day; the cats are happy on their own while you work or explore. Ideally feed around 6pm, though a little later is fine, as long as they get their beloved garden time and cuddles when you're around.
