Hi and thanks for checking this dog and housesit offer. If you want a rural escape over winter in a beautiful biosphere reserve region, then this is great for you.
I'm keen to get back to Australia to visit my elderly mother and it'd be wonderful if my partner could come too, so we're looking for someone for about one month over the 2026-27 Christmas and New Year period.
If you live in Germany and can promise to love love love our small cockerpoo Marli, walk her, play with her, feed her, and take appropriate care of our home, then we'd love to hear from you.
Marli prefers people than other dogs and is very friendly and affectionate at first meeting. She is however also very attached to us and takes time to be comfortable with others taking care of her. So you'll need lots of love and patience. Keeping Marli on a lead is probably best. She loves her walks in the forest and around farmland, but she also loves to chase deer, rabbits, and cats. She has an hour walk in the morning and a half an hour late afternoon, but of course there's flexibility around that. She also loves and needs play. She can be alone for a maximum of 3 hours.
Naturally we ask that you treat our home with respect and keep it clean and tidy. Plus we'll anticpate regular updates and definitely communicate early if there are any problems.
Our house is a cozy 2 bedroom German cottage with a spacious yard. Your room is also very spacious with good heating, morning sun and plenty of storage.
We live in a biosphere reserve and dark sky region so the nature is fantastic with plenty of hikes and tourist interests.
We're looking for people within Germany who have the capacity to meet with us in person to determine compatibility and gain familiarity with Marli. This may take a few meets to achieve. After online introductory communications, we propose an initial meeting where we would come to you.
No, sorry.
