Central NJ beautiful neighborhood, loving dogs

About this assignment

Please note that dates are not fixed yet. We are looking for an HONEST and RELIABLE person who really does like dogs. We have no other pets. Aussie Shepherds are trained and walk pretty good on lease. They know "no pull", "heel", "place", "sit", "stay" and "off" and more. Person should be friendly, open, and above all - an HONEST person who really likes dogs.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our dogs are so easy - we have a doggie door and they go outside in and out anytime they want. We do require ONE walk per day, per dog, but you can walk 2 together. One very old small dog's walk is very slow and about 10 minutes. Other walks can be 15-20 minutes, when it's not raining. Person should throw tennis balls in backyard for the Aussies to chase. Feed twice a day. Relax with dogs, pet them. Person needs to use the rake and handled scooper to pick up poop in backyard every day. Tiny Papillon needs a disposible diaper wrap around his waist before bed every night. Dogs to into back family room at nighttime for sleep, and they get their treats then, bedtime snacks. Can leave during the day after dogs eat 6:30am - 7:00am breakfast, but must be back by 4:30pm and feed dogs at 5:00pm. We "may" ask you to put a cholrine tablet in the pool dispenser once during the week (in Summer).

What are the good features of the property and location

Central NJ. Close to major train station. Highways 287 and Rt. 18 very, very close by, but Somerset neighborhood is quiet, beautiful suburb. Loads of food placed, major grocery store 2 min away. Wide streets, sidewalks, SAFE. Quiet neighborhood. Double driveway. NO stairs. Ranch style. You will sleep in the queen bed in master bedroom with attached bathroom w/shower. Central A/C brand new central unit. New HVAC. TV has Netflix and other streaming services, very fast WiFi. Rutgers Univ., RWJ hospital, New Brunswick train - 5-6 minutes away. NYC by train is less than 60 minutes. In summer we have a swimming pool and a hot tub. We do have a regular house/dog sitter, but she's not always available. We travel about 3 times a year, for about 8 days at a time. I don't have specific dates in mind at this time, but I will.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We do have indoor and outdoor cameras. We do check on our dogs every now and then, but not all day!! NO cameras in bedrooms or bathrooms. Most people in the U.S. have cameras. The backyard fence gate is always padlocked, and a camera facing gate. Dogs should not be left alone more than 8 hours during the daytime.
