I have five cats, but typically only two of my cats will interact with a house sitter. Two other cats may eventually venture down into the great room if the sitter is there, but seeing my scaredy cat Loki is rare.

I’m looking for a responsible, caring house sitter to stay in my home in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas while I travel. I have five cats who need attentive, loving care — so a genuine cat lover is a must!
What the Role Involves:
Full-time house sitting — you’d stay in my home for the duration in the first level bedroom with a full bathroom (please see photos).
Daily feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance. I leave kibble out 24/7 and I have a water fountain. Only my two friendly kitties will come to the kitchen to eat canned food for breakfast and dinner. The other three kitties are afraid of strangers and most likely won’t overcome their fear.
General house oversight - security, watering indoor and outdoor plants
Keeping the home clean and comfortable
My Ideal Sitter:
I’m hoping to find someone who sees two weeks in Summerlin as a treat, not a chore and someone who likes dry heat.
Specifically, I’d love someone who:
1. Genuinely loves cats
2. Doesn’t want to come to Las Vegas for gambling on The Strip — I’m looking for someone who appreciates the quieter, natural side of Las Vegas. Of course going to shows and concerts is always fun and entertaining
3. Doesn’t mind watering indoor and outdoor plants
4. Is in the 45–65 age range — life experience and a settled, responsible approach matter to me
5. Treats a home like their own — respectful, tidy, and trustworthy
Why You’ll Love It Here:
Summerlin is one of the most beautiful parts of Las Vegas — close to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area with world-class hiking and biking trails right out the door. It’s peaceful, safe, and a great base for exploring the Mojave Desert, Mount Charleston, and Valley of Fire (located about an hour north of my house). If you love the outdoors, you’ll be in heaven.
My house is within walking distance from Downtown Summerlin which offers outdoor shops and restaurants and has a great farmer’s market on Saturday’s from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and the Red Rock Hotel and Casino that has more restaurants and a 16 screen theater including an IMAX screen with luxury seats.
There is a Trader Joe’s at Downtown Summerlin and a Whole Foods and an Albertsons within a few miles from my house.
Taking care of my house and my pets, and water some houseplants and a few outdoor plants. Garbage day is on Friday morning so I roll out my garbage and recycling bins on Thursday evening.
My house is located in a quiet neighborhood (there is some noise from the nearby 215 freeway but my quality windows prevent most noise from being an issue) about 20-30 minutes from The Strip. There is a neighborhood park and pool.
The last few days of August are typically in the 90’s. September in Summerlin, Las Vegas, brings a transition from intense summer heat to more moderate, pleasant autumn weather. Daily high temperatures drop from around 95 degrees at the start of the month to roughly 85 degrees by month's end, with average low temperatures decreasing from 72 degrees to 62 degrees. September is generally sunny, dry, and often windy, which helps cool it down a bit.
No, sorry.
