About this assignment
I often go away for a weekend & need someone to look after my 2 little dogs in the centre of Barcelona. Lola & Henri are used to having dogsitters stay with them & like taking their sitters for walks around the neighbourhood!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Lola & Henri like to have breakfast as soon as they get up in the morning. After that they are happy to wait while you have your breakfast before they go out.
They have a second walk in the evening. I always leave food & water out for them so you won't need to go home to feed them during the day
What are the good features of the property and location
The apartment is on the third floor of an old building in the historic centre of Barcelona. It is a very quiet street & is well placed for visiting the city. We are only a five minute walk from the super yacht marina!
Picasso used to frequent the bodega downstairs!!!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I have flatmates so you must be comfortable sharing the kitchen & bathroom. My flatmates are calm & quiet at home. The apartment is on the third floor without a lift (this is common in the centre of Barcelona).
Can I bring my own pets?

Great fun with Lola and Henri
Probably the most fun from my time with Lola and Henri was the interesting walks ‘they took me on’ through old town Barcelona, discovering new and interesting architecture and historic viewpoints. The pair certainly knew their favourite places! :-). Their two different personalities were very sweet, more than charming, interesting and responsive to my care giving. I loved being with them! What a great duo they are! StayIng at Helen’s cute and compact Barcelona apartment was the bonus as it was very cosy, very clean and organised, and in a fabulous location. Brilliant experience
This was my first dog sit experience through MMH and it was a brilliant experience. I'd highly recommend pet sitting for Helen. Helen was great, we were in touch before, during and after the sit. She was very quick to respond to any queries I had and was a very friendly host. The dogs were absolutely adorable, well behaved and very easy to care for. They loved their walks and enjoyed lots of cuddles and belly rubs! The apartment is lovely and is in a great location really close to everything. You also get to see a lot of the area that you wouldn't necessarily experience as a tourist as the dogs take you through all the tiny streets on their walks. Brilliant experience, would absolutely do it again.
