About this assignment

First and foremost someone who loves animals and will take good care of 4 cats, a giant lovely dog and the house. It should be people who love to be in nature since the property is in a forest area and a little secluded. A car is needed since all amenities are at at distance of 6 kms.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The house sitter(s) will have to feed cats and dog, walk the dog and cuddle the cats. We hope they will keep the house clean enough and keep an eye on the property. And we sure hope they will have an excellent time here in this natural environment.

What are the good features of the property and location

Natural environment, forest area, wildlife, tranquility, beautiful fully equipped house. At 6kms from a city with all amenities. Not too far from Orleans and the Loire castles, at the outskirts of the Foret d'Orléans. Great walking possibilities nearby the house or further away.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

- You cannot leave the dog alone in the house for too long, 6 hours is a maximum and then not every day, he will be miserable.
- You can take the dog with you if you go for longer walks but you will have to adapt to temperatures (he is not fit for high temperatures) and to his pace, he cannot walk too long before he will need a rest, he's not a very sportive breed.
- House sitters will need a car to get around, there is no public transportation nearby. People who like to explore by bike should be aware that the French roads are not very well suited for biking, even in the villages and cities. Put it is not impossible if you can take your bike to better biking areas e.g. along the Loire river. Some research will help to find out the possibilities.
- Abstain if you cannot handle a bit if a secluded area or not seeing people unless you leave the property.
