About this assignment

Long-Term (3 months) responsible house sitter to care for our dog Luna, maintain property ~1 hour daily: water plants, manage water system, assist cabin guests if needed, and oversee jacuzzi and pool operations.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Caring for our dog Luna and daily responsibilities (~1 hour) include watering the property, maintaining the water system. Also assisting cabin guests with small needs (additional towels, trash bags or firewood), and managing the jacuzzi (cleaning) and swimming pool (turning on/off) in case there are bookings (during this period it's the low season so normally, not so often)

Our property is set in a peaceful natural environment in Olmué, surrounded by mountains and greenery, ideal for those who enjoy tranquility and outdoor living. There is a direct access to beautiful hikes within the National Park La Campana. It offers a unique eco-lodge atmosphere with cabins, access to nature, and a relaxed, off-grid lifestyle. The location is private and quiet, perfect for disconnecting. We provide a local sim card so you can have internet (5G) everywhere.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

This is a quiet, nature-based property best suited for someone independent and comfortable with a slower, rural lifestyle. Daily tasks are light (~1 hour), but reliability is important. A car is recommended, as the nearest shops are about a 30-minute walk. However, for the lodge we do work with a trusted Uber driver in the area and it’s possible to order online from Walmart with free delivery on orders over $30 USD. There is also a medical dispensary within a 30-minute walk, and a medical center about 25 minutes away by car. Sitters should also be comfortable managing basic systems (water, jacuzzi/pool) and being a point of contact in case of minor guest needs or occasional small emergencies.
