Stay close to DC with home gym and 2 pets

About this assignment

I'm looking for someone who wants to take advantage of all the location has to offer or just relax. My hope is that you treat my pets and house as you would your own- with kindness, respect, and care. I consider myself an excellent communicator and hope you are too!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Very minimal and easy! Feed cat and dog twice daily, refill water bowl, let dog in and out of back yard in the morning, evening and when she goes to the door, but she holds it when I’m at work for 8+ hours. Clean up any accidents (on the rare occasion), empty litter box every couple of days. Water plants as needed, bring in mail, take trash and recycling bins to the curb on designated day, vacuum main areas if pet hair gets too out of control.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is located in a beautiful, safe, residential neighborhood packed with nature trails, a playground, large pond stocked with fish and turtles, and tennis/pickle ball courts. I am only 30 miles to DC, 1.5 hrs to Shenandoah National Park and 2 hours to Baltimore. I also have great recommendations for trail rides, breweries, wineries, concert venues, and restaurants all within short driving distance.

The house itself is a 3 level, 4 bedroom 3.5 bath and you will have access to it all. Sleeping arrangements are whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and include:
Master bedroom w/ en-suite bathroom (King bed)
Upstairs guest room w/ closet (full bed)
Kid's room (single bed)
Basement bedroom w/ large closet and dresser (queen)

Bathrooms:
Master en-suite, shower only (but the water pressure is out of this world!)
Upstairs "kids" bathroom
Main floor half bath
Downstairs full bath

The backyard is fenced in w/ a deck, 5 burner bbq, fire pit, and seating area. This makes letting the dog out extremely easy. The kitchen has a brand new induction cooktop and you are welcome to use, eat, cook anything in it.
There is one main living space open to the kitchen with a comfy sectional couch and 75" tv with all the streaming services.

The garage is one of my favorite spaces. It has a nice home gym setup which includes:
-treadmill
-Peloton- sign in with your account or use mine, you will have access to hundreds of workout classes including weightlifting, yoga, pilates, etc.
-Dumbbells up to 90lbs, kettle bells, medicine balls
-pullup bar
-resistance bands, yoga mat, exercise ball
-bench
-dip station
-hybrid bicycle for taking outside
You can park your vehicle in the driveway or if the right side of the garage is not occupied, you may use it for your car.

Other things to note:
-keyless entry & front door Ring camera
-landscaper comes once a week to mow
-washer & dryer is located in the basement
-great, friendly neighbors

Additionally, there are many grocery stores, restaurants, gyms, parks, river access, movie theaters, shopping malls- all within a few miles of the house and within walking distance.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Your stay will be much more enjoyable if you have a car, however it is possible to make this work if you do not.
My pets are both sweethearts! You might see them play fight with each other but that's all it is, just play. Rue does not get up on the furniture or sleep in beds. Gazpacho will happily cuddle/sleep with you but feel free to set your boundaries and keep him out of your personal space if you wish.
