About this assignment

Someone who will love my two senior dogs and care for them as I would love them. Also look after my home and keep it safe.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Walking my dogs and feeding them; giving them love and cuddles; keeping my house and contents safe and keeping it clean; minor garden care.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in a 3 bedroom bungalow at the end of a cul-de-sac of 26 houses. The bedrooms are all doubles, 1 en suite, large lounge/diner, good sized kitchen, house bathroom, and a back courtyard that is brilliant for drying washing! There is a small garden at the back and smaller one at the front, but no pool. The back garden is a sun trap as it faces south. Parking is outside the house on the street. Lovely neighbours all down the road. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, separate freezer, air fryer, toaster, kettle, gas hob, and an electric oven, but no microwave.
The nearest towns are Albox – 15min drive; and Huercal Overa – 15mins; La Alfoquia is a village about 5mins drive away with small supermarket, and ATM. Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar are 45mins away. Many good restaurants around and bars, one at the bottom of my road. The nearest beach is at Garrucha or Vera Playa. Access to the area is very good as I am 10 mins drive from the main A7/E15/N340 motorway that goes from Algeciras, and the west, right round the coast and through to Barcelona. There are many interesting villages and National Parks in the area to explore.
As with the majority of towns and villages in Spain there are street markets somewhere every day:
Monday – Huercal Overa; Tuesday – Albox; Wednesday - Mojacar; Thursday – Rocquetas de Mar; Friday - Garrucha & Zurgena; Saturday – Vera & Arboleas; Sunday – La Alfoquia.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Consider the area and if you would like to visit it; are you happy to care for two healthy, senior dogs and take them for walks? Would you be happy to take them to their vet if it became necessary?

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: if they are friendly to dogs. My garden is only small. The garden is not necessarily escape proff if your dogs can jump high!!!
