About this assignment

A reliable and trustworthy sitter who is experienced and comfortable with dogs. Someone who can walk our Labrador & Jack Russell twice a day (no extensive walks required, but they'll happily do so if you want!) and who will enjoy/respect our home. You will need to be a driver as we live in a semi-rural location.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed and walk the dogs twice a day, feed the cat, water the plants, pick up any deliveries and bring them in, mow the lawn if feeling in the mood & just leave it as you found it!

What are the good features of the property and location

3-bedroom family house with garden and work studio in a quiet, semi-rural location. If you want to stay local, there is extensive NT common land & woodland within walking distance - the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on our doorstep. Lots of mountain biking (we can loan you out a couple). Haslemere and Farnham are our local towns - both with thriving arts scenes, lovely local shops, and various classic English pubs close by. Further afield, it's a great location for history & sights with Winchester 50 mins away, London 1 hour on train. The south coast is less than an hour away if you want a beach day.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You will need to be able to drive. We do not have a landline (but we do have broadband of course!). The dogs can be left for four hours maximum so if aiming to go out for the day, you'd need to pay for a dog walker (which we can provide) to give them company during the day. You do need to be confident and caring with dogs and to look after them as they love company and a cuddle (and a chat!). You will need to have referees we can speak to in person if required, a police check, and be happy to put down a security deposit/sign an agreement between us.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
