About this assignment

A warm, reliable animal lover who is calm and patient. Butter has recently suffered a slipped disc and so is on bedrest. With the medications she is receiving, she is placidly. laying about in her crate. So - no walks needed. She likes you to be within eyeshot but tolerates being alone for a few hours.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Care for Butter during this bedrest: give medications (she happily gobbles them up in the pill pockets). Carry her up & down the one flight of stairs to go potty (she weighs less than 14 lbs so pretty easy to manange). Occasional lap time to give her some loving. Minimal home oversight — mail, plants, security. Updates to me welcome!

What are the good features of the property and location

Upper level with stunning Olympic mountain and ship canal views, abundant light, spacious open plan, easy parking. Wonderful deck where you can hang out, sun, relax, eat. Walk to Fremont's cafes, Sunday market, and canal. Ten minutes downtown.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Butter prefers near-constant companionship — she's sweet and sensitive but anxious when alone for longer than 2 hours or so. Non-smokers only. Ideal for someone primarily homebased who loves affectionate, cuddly small dogs.

At present my train ticket is set for leaving Wed Aug 12 at 8:55 am and return Sunday Aug 16 at 9:20 pm. I'd be fine if the sitter arrived the evening before (Tues Aug 11) (that would allow some bonding while I'm still home) and stayed over till Mon Aug 17.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: a cat should be ok I haven't tested but her previous owner had one. she is reactive to many dogs
