we're looking for reliable housesitters which are very interested in experience the outer island life in a fourth-world-country. the life here can be very adventurous. but it's worth it.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

taking good care including a little maintenance of our small compound with one house and two guest cabins. feeding our two cats and two dogs.

What are the good features of the property and location

our main house is built above the lagoon. across the only road we have two fully furnished guest cabins. each of them includes a bathroom.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

When entering Kiribati you usually get a 30 days tourist visa which can be extended at the Office of Immigration for another 90 days.
Our outer island Abaiang is about 50 km away from the main island Tarawa where the international airport is located. the connection to Abaiang is maintained by speedboats (2 hrs. ride) or twice a week by airplane (12 min. flight). From both of the arrival spots we're about 1,2 km away.
the housesitters should be basically handy because we use an independent power (solar system) and water supply. love of gardening would be great as well.
