Cozy Mountain Home with Forest Views and Affectionate Dogs!

About this assignment

We traded LA for our cozy mountain town and never looked back. Mochi and Moo are our furkids! We’re looking for a sitter who enjoys being with dogs and values clear, consistent communication.

We’re tucked in a peaceful mountain town near a forest lake, just 5 minutes from a grocery store, cafés, and the lake. Our home is private and quiet, while still having lovely neighbors nearby if anything ever comes up. You'll be staying in our guest bedroom which has a comfortable queen bed, a large desk, TV and a full bathroom with shower/tub on the same floor.

The living area is nice and cozy, the TV has multiple streaming services, strong WiFi, and a dining space with bay windows overlooking the forest and mountain views. There’s also access to a large deck with outdoor seating for relaxing or dining outside.

The town is small and peaceful, but with plenty of mom and pop shops, bars and restaurants. We have a parking deck and laundry onsite.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Mochi is a 60 lb pitbull mix and Moo is a 35 lb French bulldog mix. Both are rescues and a very loving pair.

They will appreciate your affection. We will need your help with feeding them twice a day, letting them out to potty in the yard, cleaning up after them, and walking them if you feel comfortable; otherwise, we can make other arrangements for walks.

They are allowed on the couch, and everywhere in the home, we don't allow them on our bed but feel free to sleep with them if that's your preference. FYI Moo will want to share the pillows.

Our priority is to find someone who loves dogs and wants to give and receive affection. They will love you!

We also have about six indoor potted plants that just need to be watered once a week.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We have a fairly steep, long set of stairs from the street/parking deck down to the house.

We are a non-smoking home. Given the high fire risk in our forested area, we’re not able to allow smoking or fires anywhere on the property.

Outdoor security cameras are in place around the property (parking deck and yard areas). There are no indoor cameras.

No other pets allowed as one of our girls can be selectively friendly.

Can I bring my own pets?
