About this assignment
I'm looking for someone to look after my two cats from 23rd December to 6th January. They are two very affectionate males and we have an apartment in Los Dolores, Murcia, with a patio, balcony, and beautiful mountain views in a very quiet neighborhood, but also not too far from the city center.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
You'll need to play with them, spend time with them, give them food and water every day, remove their waste daily, and thoroughly clean their litter box twice a week. We also have plants on the balcony, patio, and inside the house that need watering once a week.
What are the good features of the property and location
We have a large apartment with three bedrooms, a spacious living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms (one en suite). The master bedroom and living room have balconies with beautiful mountain views. I enjoy practicing yoga facing the mountains; it's very relaxing. We also have a large patio with a sun lounger, hammock, parasol, and barbecue. We're in a quiet neighborhood, but very close to the river and the center of Murcia. We also have bicycles available for your use and a parking space in the garage if you're coming by car. There are lovely beaches about an hour's drive away, and daily buses if you'd like to take a day trip to one of the pretty neighbouring towns. We'd be happy to give you recommendations on things to do.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
The weather in December is mild and not too cold. It's often sunny during the day and you shouldn't need heating. However, we have a portable heater if you do. There are supermarkets and bars nearby, which is very useful.

We fell in love with both cats!
Kerry and Joe are a very sweet and genuine couple. While we only got to meet them briefly before our stay, we felt very safe and welcome with them right away. They had prepared all the necessary information beforehand in a document, so it was easy to follow. When we had any questions, they were easy and quick to reach via WhatsApp. Their place in Murcia is in a nice quiet neighborhood just a short drive away from the city center. We didn't use any public transport but saw that it's available. There's plenty of choices for groceries and other shops within walking distance, and UberEats also serves the area. The apartment is quite spacious, including a nice private patio area. We felt very at home. The highlight of it all were their two cats Otis and Melville (Melly). They are incredibly loving and sweet, each with a unique character. Melly is very forward and always ready for a cuddle session, while Otis took a bit more time to get to know us before he fully opened up. They are rather low maintenance, mostly spending their days sleeping inside or out on the patio. When it's a bit cooler in the morning or at night, they like to get in a few rounds of play with one of their various toys, or the occasional cat wrestling match. We had a great stay and would happily return anytime.
