About this assignment

We’re looking for a responsible, mature, friendly person/couple who will care for our home and our cat, for approximately three months., We hope to find someone who is comfortable settling in and treating the home with care and respect over an extended stay. Our home is spacious, comfortable, and designed for relaxed living. We are located in the foothills of Medford Oregon.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our cat is low-maintenance and independent, and the home responsibilities are fairly light. The main responsibilities are:
Caring for our senior cat and maintaining her simple feeding routine
Keeping the home clean, tidy, and secure
Bringing in mail/packages as needed
Watering a couple of indoor plants. Outdoor we have irrigation for most plants, with just a few that need manual watering.

What are the good features of the property and location

We’re located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, a short drive from many hiking trails in Prescott Park, Table Rocks, Jacksonville Forest. The Rogue River is also nearby.
The area has many wonderful wineries where local music is featured often.
There are great opportunities for day trips to nearby Ashland and Jacksonville; several lakes within an hour or two, including Crater Lake.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house is two levels, with the main accommodation on the main level: kitchen, living room, en-suite main bedroom.
Because of the location and the many nearby outdoor destinations, having your own vehicle will be important for getting around comfortably.
Non-smoker(s) only please and cannot bring pets.
