Ideally, someone who will love our pets as we do, who likes peace & quiet & has their own transport as unfortunately no public transport here.
Feed ,fuss & play with the dogs. If it's hot ,the dogs will just sleep. Walk them if not too hot but not essential. make sure ducks are enclosed before dusk. Quail are fun & easy as just need to check them a couple of times a day, top up their feed & give them their peas & dried meal worms. Collect the eggs. Water plants when needed please.
Our home is a 2 bedroom, detached, single floor cottage with a wood stove, large garden & woodland at the back. It benefits from a pure drinking water filtration system and solar panel electricity.
The rear garden has a small pool, choice of outside seating & a BBQ.
St Yrieix la Perche is about 8 kms away and has plenty of shops, restaurants, a leisure centre with swimming pool, tabacs and a hospital. Limoges airport is 40 minutes away.
Own transport as there is no public transport here.
Our dogs to be left for maximum 4 hours so not good for people wanting to go visiting all day. Ideal spot for relaxing in the garden, in the pool or drinks on one of 3 patios. There is always a spot in the shade or follow the sun ?? Or working from home in quiet surroundings.
Both dogs sleep on the bed with us but could be left in the front room in the settee or their beds, no problem.
No, sorry.
Testimonials
Highly recommend this stay
Heather and John made me feel very welcome in their charming french cottage. Its was a peaceful week in the countryside with the animals. The dogs, Bee the puppy and Sam, are lively and affectionate. They are well behaved too and and quite stole my heart. I loved spending time with them. The runner ducks were fun and easy to care for. Highly recommend this stay and John's quite the raconteur, in English or French!
