Our dates are flexible to accommodate our sitters requirements. Ideally, someone who will love our pets as we do, trustworthy, and reliable who likes peace & quiet in rural France.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our dogs are part of our family. Feed ,fuss & play with the dogs. If it's hot ,the dogs will just sleep. Walk them if not too hot but not essential as our garden is huge, make sure ducks are enclosed before dusk. Quail are fun & easy as just need to check them a couple of times a day, top up their feed & give them their peas & dried meal worms. Collect any eggs and eat as many as you want. Water plants when necessary please.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is a 2 bedroom, detached, single floor cottage (2 small steps between the original 2 houses) with a wood stove, large garden & our own woodland at the back. It benefits from a pure drinking water filtration system and solar panel electricity.
You would have your own bedroom with comfortable double bed.
The rear garden has a small pool for chilling in, choice of outside seating, ensuring there is always a place in the shade or the sun & a BBQ.
St Yrieix la Perche is about 8 kms away and has plenty of shops, restaurants, a leisure centre with swimming pool, tabacs and a hospital. Limoges airport is 40 minutes away. There is also a train station.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You would need your own transport as there is no public transport here. If needed we would be happy to collect and return you to Limoges airport or any of the local train stations. We would also be happy to take you shopping the day before the sit.
There is a bicycle if required.
Our dogs to be left for ideally a maximum of 4 hours so looking for someone who genuinely loves being at home with them. It is a lovely spot to relax in the garden, in the pool or drinks on one of 3 patios. There is always a spot in the shade or follow the sun ,or working from home in quiet surroundings.
Both dogs sleep on the bed with us but could be left in the front room in the settee or their beds, no problem.
