A dog & cat in stunning home looking for a caring sitter ...

About this assignment

Responsible, caring animal lovers who appreciate spending lots of time with a very friendly dog & cat. We are also looking for sitters who will take good care of our house & garden as well.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have a three year old Bernese Mountain dog who loves at least one long walk a day. She is super friendly and gets on really well with other dogs.

She will sleep in the house most of the day (but we ask that she is never left for more than three hours on her own). She sleeps in the kitchen with the cat every night. She needs to have someone willing to be here most of the time as we are both retired and she is very used to have someone in the house with her for the majority of the day. She is fed three times a day. One cup at each feed at 8am, 1pm and 6pm.

Our cat is a really affectionate cat who loves to cuddle. She sleeps most of the day in the kitchen but does love a few trips out to the garden. She sleeps in every night in the kitchen with the dog. She needs to be fed twice a day.

There are fish in the pond in the garden which just need to be fed once every morning with a large pinch of food.

There are lots of plants in the house so we would appreciate that they are looked after and watered once a week. We spend a lot of time gardening so we would appreciate sitters that have an interest in gardening and will keep an eye out in our absence on things in the garden.

What are the good features of the property and location

Large, modern detached four bed house. Lovely spare room with super king bed and its own ensuite.

There is excellent wifi and a large open plan kitchen / dining / living area with TV. Large utility room also.

There is also a large sitting room with TV and a TV room upstairs as well.

We have a gate at the bottom of the garden which leads into our local woods. You can walk / hike for miles with beautiful views.

We are a 20 min walk to the nearest village which has plenty of amenities. Bray (local seaside town) is 10 min drive away and has lots of amenities too including plenty of dog friendly coffee shops etc. The promenade there is a particularly nice walk.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We live 20 minutes from public transport so ideally any sitters would need their own transport. We would also prefer a couple as we would like someone to be here as much as possible.
