Townhouse with great public transport near Washington DC

About this assignment

We have two middle-aged forest cats, Bustopher and Lexie. They are generally low-maintenance cats but love to have someone in the house and warm up to almost anyone within a day.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed the cats twice a day (roughly 7am and 5pm), put out food for birds and squirrels, water the house plants, check for mail and packages, put out trash on trash day, and keep the house in good order. We like to get daily updates with a photo or two so we know that things are going well.

What are the good features of the property and location

We have amazing access to both the DC Metro and buses here in Silver Spring, so it's easy to get around the DMV area without a car. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, hiking trails, and other places within walking distance.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We realize that you want time to explore the area, that's why you're doing this for free! Just keep our cats fed, scoop the litter box, and keep the house as clean as you found it. Since we have a private suite for your use, the start/stop days are flexible. There's no problem if you want to come a few days early before we leave or stay a few days more after the sit.
