Little self-sufficient Farm on La Gomera

About this assignment

I search for a responsible person who loves nature and animals to look after our small farm situated nearby the Garajonay natural park on La Gomera while we travel.
The location is amazing nature, quiet and surrounded by forest.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have different animals that include dogs, cats, chicken, a few sheep, 2 ponies, a pig and 2 cows and calves. These animals need daily care like feeding and cleaning. All are very kind and easy to handle yet our kids also can handle them. There also are flowers and a little veggie garden to be eventually watered.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is quite big and comfortable with woodstove and a big bathroom. The terrace is big and has amazing fews to the forest and mount Teide . Its located nearly at the center of the island so you can go to whatever point you want in about 40 minutes by car. The use of the car is optional. You also can enjoy the seasonally growing fruits and vegetables here on our land. And obviously eggs and eventually own cows milk. There are some neighbors around, very kind people. But generally you are in silence just enjoying the sounds of nature.
We sure have internet access and TV. It's an ideal place to work in silence

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I really would like to get in touch first at least by video call to get to know the house sitter. I prefer single person or older couples. No parties and no smoking allowed here. Only calm people please. Its useful if you know spanish. Supermarkets are about 40 minutes away, also other stores so you better should have a driving license.
