Kimchi is looking for a new friend in Amsterdam while we're away!

About this assignment

We're looking for someone who truly loves cats and will enjoy spending time with Kimchi while we're away visiting family in Madrid. He's still young (1.5 years old), so he's veeeery playful, curious and full of orange-cat energy! We'd love someone who'll give him plenty of attention, play with him every day and enjoy his funny personality :)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Kimchi is quite easy to look after and we have plenty of things at home to keep him entertained. His main requests are simple: food, cuddles, and some playtime! Everything else is already taken care of.

We have a water fountain, so it only needs a refill with fresh water once a week. We also have an automatic litter box, which makes things much easier! you’ll just need to empty the waste bag and add some extra litter from time to time. Kimchi also has an exercise wheel to burn some energy, although his absolute favourite activity is running around the apartment and playing fetch with his little strings (yes, he actually brings them back!).

The most important thing for us is that Kimchi stays safely indoors. He loves looking outside from the terrace, but he’s a curious little guy, so whenever you open the terrace door, please make sure he’s in another room first.

Apart from taking care of Kimchi, we’d appreciate you treating our home with care, keeping the apartment reasonably clean and tidy, watering the plants if needed and letting us know if anything unexpected comes up.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our two bedroom apartment is very spacious (138 m²), bright and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax or work remotely. We live in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, about a 20-minute bike ride from the city centre.

One of the things we love most about our place is the neighbourhood. It’s such a peaceful and green area, which sometimes doesn’t even feel like you're in Amsterdam. We’re lucky to have a beautiful lake and a forest just a few minutes away, It’s the perfect place for walks, cycling, running or simply enjoying nature. You’ll often see ducks, rabbits and even cows wandering around the lake. In the warmer days, it’s also a lovely spot for a swim or to simply sit outside with a book and enjoy the sunshine or the sunset!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Kimchi is still a young cat, so he enjoys having someone around rather than being left alone for long periods every day. If you're happy spending quality time with a playful cat and treating our home with care, we'd love to hear from you :)
