Who I'm looking for

I'm looking for someone who:
- genuinely enjoys spending time with cats
- is clean, respectful and reliable
- will treat my home as if it were their own
- will make sure my cat has company and feels loved while I'm away.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility will be taking care of my sweet 5-year-old cat and making sure she feels comfortable while I am away.

- Feeding her according to the schedule and portions provided (she loves food and can be very convincing when asking for extra ?)
- Refreshing her water and cleaning her litter box regularly
- Giving her companionship (she loves being around people and receiving cuddles)
- Playing with her occasionally to keep her stimulated (we have a laser and other toys available)
- Taking care of the apartment as you would your own home (keeping it reasonably tidy, watering plants if needed, and letting me know if anything unusual happens)

She is a very easygoing and independent cat, so this is not a demanding pet-sitting situation, she mainly needs someone who enjoys having a loving feline companion around.

The apartment is located in Sunnyside, Queens, one of New York City's safest and friendliest neighborhoods. It's the perfect place to experience NYC like a local while still being close to everything.

? Very safe neighborhood, even late at night. My roommate and I are two women and have been coming home late for over two years without ever having any issues.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor (walk-up) and includes:

Fast, reliable Wi-Fi (great for remote work)
Dedicated workspace with desk
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, blender, toaster, Italian moka coffee maker, ice cream maker and everything needed for cooking
Separate bedroom

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Before applying, please consider the following:

- This is a 20-days house sit, so I am looking for someone who is comfortable staying in one place for the full period and becoming part of my cat’s routine.
- My cat is very social and enjoys having people around. She is independent and easygoing, but she is happiest when she has companionship, attention, and affection.
- Cat experience is preferred, especially for someone who enjoys affectionate cats and understands their routines.
