We are looking for a warm, reliable, non-smoking animal lover who will treat our home with the same respect, love, and care that they would their own. Beyond being fully reliable and trustworthy—meaning no parties people staying over without agreement —our perfect sitter is someone clean, tidy, and security-conscious who will keep our place safe and organized. Since we will be away, we really appreciate someone who is a great communicator and will send us occasional updates and cat photos so we have peace of mind. Ideally, you are also self-sufficient and comfortable with relaxing and enjoying a quieter countryside rhythm, while still being proactive enough to handle the daily routine of a house and garden with ease.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your main and most important responsibility is simply making sure our two cats feel loved, happy, and well-cared-for while we are away. They thrive on human company, so this means spending quality time with them, keeping up with their daily feeding routines, and giving them a gentle brush now and then to look after their coats.
Alongside cat care, we ask that you look after our home as if it were your own. This includes keeping the living spaces clean, tidy, and organized during your stay. You will also need to keep our plants thriving by watering the indoor houseplants, the terrace greenery, and the garden. Finally, there are just a few quick daily basics to handle: taking the mail from the letter box and putting the rubbish bins out on the correct local collection days

Situated in the heart of the Black Forest, this location is an absolute dream for nature lovers, offering endless hiking and cycling routes alongside easy access to the region's famous historic towns and incredible tourist attractions.

While we want you to feel completely relaxed and at home, here are a few quick things to keep in mind before you apply: 1. Day Trips & Outings: You are absolutely welcome to take day trips to explore the incredible Black Forrest or head into Stuttgart! However, because our cats love human company, we just ask that you balance your adventures so you are still spending some time at home with them: 2. Cat Adventures: Our cats occasionally like to wander over and visit our lovely neighbours. Every now and then, you might need to step outside, call them back, or pop over to collect them when it is time for them to be fed. 3. Great Transit Links: You do not necessarily need a car here. A few different bus lines run straight from our town, offering regular service every 30 minutes, making it incredibly easy to get around and connect to nearby train stations. 4. Bonus Perks: During your stay, you are more than welcome to use our bicycle to explore the local cycling routes or ride down to the shops. If you prefer to exercise at home, you will also have full access to our indoor gym bike and rowing machine! 5.Full Support & Emergencies: You will have total peace of mind while we are away.
