About this assignment

I don't actually have any pets. I do have a yard, about 1/4 acre, with several garden beds of ornamental flowers. I need trustworthy sitters who will water my outdoor plants as needed, which can be every other day or less, depending on the weather.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

My house sitter will need to water the flower beds. I don't need any other landscape work; I have someone who does the mowing and weeds can wait for my return. I have one little tomato plant (tomatoes for whoever picks them) and some house plants that only need occasional watering.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is very attractive and modern with a cathedral ceiling on the ground floor, giving the house a very spacious feel. All appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc.) and heating/cooling system works well. The most special thing about my house is the large deck surrounded by trees. A lovely place to sit, shaded, enjoying the greenery all around.
Although I am technically in a suburb of Asheville (Candler), it is a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville, where there are many good restaurants, music venues, shopping, etc.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

My location requires sitter to have own transportation as Asheville is very car-dependent. There is a bus system but it is limited. My car will not be available.

Can I bring my own pets?
