Looking for a quick getaway to Boulder, CO? Single or couple (max 2 adults) to care for Miss Graycie from August 19 through August 23. She is a 9yo domestic medium hair. She is a bit of a scaredy cat. More about her in responsibilities section.
The home is spacious. Open floor plan for living space. LR, Fireplace sitting area, dining area, kitchen, laundry room, bedroom with walk-in shower, master bath, deck with gazebo. Although it is 1500 sq.ft., part of that is 3 rooms at one end of the home that are being renovated and a large back storage room. I believe the home has about 800 or so sq.ft. (maybe more, haven't measured) of liveable space for your stay, which includes all of the rooms mentioned above.
Daily care of my cat: Feed, litterbox. Open/close catio entrance (close when AC turned on). Open/close blinds for 2 of the plants in living space. No need to fill hummingbird feeder or water plants.
A little bit about my cat: She was a rescue at 5 weeks, not properly weaned, and it shows. She will likely be very shy. She may even hiss. She will not attack. You need to go slow with her and let her approach you vs. approaching her. She may keep her distance the entire time. She might even go hide in her pet bed under my bed. Speaking very softly to her is helpful. Weather permitting, definitely keep her catio open, even at night if you're comfortable doing that (it adjoins the bedroom). She also likes to look outside the front or back door.
Large driveway for off-street parking. Bright, airy, spacious. Central AC/heating, reliable WiFi, Smart TV (no cable), dishwasher, W/D. Short drive to downtown Boulder, bikepath nearby. Nice neighbors. This is a "mobile home" that does NOT look like a trailer. I can send more pics than the site profile allows--of the outside, etc.--if requested.
No smoking whatsoever. No loud music or extremely loud TV (for the cat especially). AC should not be set lower than 78 degrees (I keep it at 80-82).
I have a baby gate at the front door that I keep up at all times so that the cat doesn't run out the door. It is behind the screen door, and she loves to look outside day or night, so if it's not too hot outside, feel free to lock the screen door and leave the front door open. Very safe neighborhood.
Full Disclosure: I am also of a considerably left-leaning, open-minded, progressive mindset and spiritual bent. You will not be comfortable here if you are a right-winger or otherwise extremely conservative. This is kind of an artsy space, and I have liberal stuff all over my fridge, a little kitchen sink altar, that kind of thing. So as not to be off-putting to anyone staying here, I thought that important to mention.
No, sorry.
